My entry for the BD 2nd Triathalon contest, in the Multicolored Titan category.
About this creation
The Kroallon is a extremely rare and ancient Rahi that inhabits coral reefs in the sea. It camouflages itself as part of the reef, waiting for a prey to get close to it. Most part of it1s life, this creature stays in a hibernation state, waking from time to time. Since it can take centuries(really) to wake up from it's hibernation, usually the reef where it lived is very different. So, it uses its gigantic tail to swin to another place, where it'll stay for several years, until it hibernates again.
A very pacient creature, it can wait for days until a nice prey to appear, staying in the same position. The main reason for this creature be very rare is the fact that it cannot reproduce until it dies, and they only dies by starving or being killed. When these creatures die, they leave a small piece of thenselves that grown into larvae, and, with time, become new adults. No Kroallon is similar to another, only being equal in the general shape(the colors can be different too), 'cause their pats grown depending of the environmental influences, and of what kind of coral grown over them, making each Kroallon unique in every aspect.
hiding as just a good piece of reef.
and now ready for action!
it's back, I now its confuse... and so think it's preys...
in swimming position( I had to lay it down, in order to show its entire body)
And that's it! Hope you like it!

Usually I would say that it was a bit messy, but when I thought about it hiding among the coral, the colors and randomly placed parts started to make sense. Excellent work and good luck! |
