A Game of Chess
A scene from the legendary Ingmar Bergman's classic film: The Seventh Seal.
About this creation
A medievel Knight returns from the crusades to find his homeland infested with the plague.

On the shores of his native land he encounters Death. The Knight's time has come...

Desperate to return home the Knight challenges Death to a game of chess in an attempt to win back his life.

The Dance of Death... the final scene of the film is as haunting a clip as you will ever see on the silver screen.

Bergman Lego! This is amazing; make my dream come true and give me Tarkovsky's Stalker in Lego. Seriously excellent work.

Quoting Stormbringer . OMG! I can't believe I just discovered this! I never thought any builder know of this film. The Seventh Seal is one of my favorite classic movies that give an accurate depiction of the plague. It's inspiration is giving me an idea for a short story that I've been planning on.
I studied this film in Art School and instantly fell in love with it. It also inspired me to start writing and I wrote a short story inspired by this film as well. I then went on to illustrate it and even turned it into a claymation film! I made this moc over a year ago, I still love the title pic, I don't feel I could have done that any better today! But I do plan to try my hand at this and some of my other earlier mocs during the course of this year because I can give them more oomph and the respect they deserve as classic films now that my skill has increased a bit.

Quoting Oscar van der Beek love it! interesting scythe method, though i dont see why you didnt use the design from the same series as the skeleton you have, they had scythes. KIWI'S RULE!
I got that guy's head in a bulk lot of 2nd hand stuff I got a while back. There wasn't a weapon with him.

Yes, yes I did as I am trying to draw attention to it. I really like this and I feel it has been overlooked as it was one of her early works.

Quoting Andrew Knox Wow, and I thought my Universal Monsters series was moderatly highbrow. Makes me think of the trailer for Monty Python and the Holy Grail-you should watch it.
Yeah I know what you mean. Love Monty Python, when I was at art school me and my roomates could not finish a sentence without including a quote from Holy Grail. "Your mother was a hampster and your father smelled of elderberries!"
