Diorama entry for Shannon Young’s Vig-orama contest. Our intrepid explorer and his rather dim-witted guide are attempting to cross through the Kenny Mountains to find the fabled land of MOCLandia. Their first attempt was blocked by a landslide of Shannon Rocks, but now, they have a map!
About this creation

The two have journeyed to the Valley of D’Price, where the fabled waterfall of TomR spills into the valley. The path appears clear until…
“Oh no Sahib! The path is blocked by more Shannon Rocks!”
“We can just go around them, and again, they are called boulders. Everyone knows Young does not have stones like those.”

“But Sahib, there is also the Shannon Rocks Monster blocking the path, and a Kelso Cave Troll guarding the Vonthako cave entrance, it was built by an architect you know.”
“Are you sure that’s a Kelso Cave Troll? Doesn’t look Photoshoped to me. Hey, what are those weird little creatures on the hills?”

“Oh, those are Phipson Monsters, harmless unless your mother or sister happens to be around.”
“Ah, I see. Well, have we just about used up all the thinly veiled references to other builders yet?”

“Oh my stars! There’s a creepy skeletal guy over there! RUN!! AHHHhhhh!!”

“Him? That’s just Mister Bones having a martini. COME BACK HERE!”

“Oh this is just getting stupid, I quit.”

Goodbye from all the MOC Monsters…..for now.
Dem Notes: I wanted to do a diorama for Shannon Young’s Vig/orama Contest, so I decided to build upon the theme in the vig Blockage and add in a few not so subtle references to some of your, and my, favorite builders, except that Bones guy, he just shows up. The ladies, Heather, Rita and Stacey are missing because, well, I am afraid they would kick my arse. Tom, the waterfall I added just for you, now get off my back!! HAHAHA, I am in serious need of professional help, but where is the fun in being normal? A few extra shots below, apologies for some of the photos, I am buying my wife a new camera for Christmas, think I will be borrowing that quite a bit. MWA-HA-HA-HA. Cheers!

I'm not sure if I want to know where Bones was coming from and what (or who) he was doing... |

Funny to some, a nightmare to others! Hehe, sorry, paraphrasing Merlin from Excalibur...I don't know, but if I'm in a forest full of rock trolls and an undead necromancer insane enough to think he's in the movie biz, I want me a +5 two-handed sword, with a disintegration power! Sweet build, I love the shot of Bones comin round the corner in the forest... |

Great build, nice touch of comedy! Oh, and the Vonthako cave entrance is just a hologram (seeing as how it was made on a computer and all). |

Hehehe clever "It doesn't look photoshopped" LOL. That waterfall is EPIC! You should enter this as a diorama though, multiple action points on a large base. |

That is the perfect example of beautiful construction with a slight tingle of comedy. |

Thats really nice work, compact and highly detailed and lots of foliage makes it appear very densely layered and enchanting. The waterfall is really, really beautiful. |

My mother was complaining about those Phipson monsters just the other day. Appearently they like to grab with their dirty little hands. Since they are so short they can only reach so high. Imagine what they are grabbing. Funny build. I too like the waterfall. see ya. garth
OH! I forgot you in the MOC! Darn, so sorry. You have also inspired me a lot! Next time, I won't forget. Thanks for always checking my stuff out. |
