The first real CoL events with Lego creations used to show them: There will be more, don't worry :)
Dear Reader, please understand that this event chronicling the troll invasion of the dwarven realm is a historical event and is not to be considered part of the comics, although I make them in a similar way. It is something I make to give you knowledge of the background for the comics which are set centuries later. Please note: This MOC, will be continued with a sequel: "Contact with the Soldevi"
About this creation
This map shows the peninsula of Northeastern Legoria around the year 70 B.B (Prior to any Legorian presence)In the western part lies the Dwarven Kingdom inside the Borr mountains and in the center and eastern part the trolls dominate the peninsula.
Enjoy the Story!
In the 3rd century of the Ureas dynasty, the dwarves began colonizing the eastern parts
of the Borr region. Explorers had found plenty of riches to gain inside a great valley and the eager dwarves quickly began the construction of mines...
In the beginning, crystal, gold and iron came in such quantities that the dwarves thought they had found a mountain of neverending wealth. So euforiated were their miners that they hardly worried about foreigners coming to see what they had found.
And no one ever came...until...
...the end of their 20th season. It was late fall, the snow had begun to cover the mines and High King Hhurin decided to have the miners in the valley relieved by new teams after 20 years of fruitful production. It was then the mountains around them suddenly turned dark by shadows. Hordes of trolls came pouring through the mountain gaps and hardly did the dwarves understand were this threat had emerged...
The dwarves were greatly outnumbered and their guards had been lulled to sleep through the years without anyone to fight. Suddenly they had to face the Trolls of Khorodj.
Their fury was much greater now after having been repelled twice by the Legorian clans centuries before. They were determined on taking the dwarves’ lands and destroying their civilization. Fortunately for the dwarves – King Hhurin was present they day the trolls came.
Although their King was present, and fuelled the dwarves with courage and strength, they could not prevent the trolls from taking the outer sections of the mines and penetrate deep into the tunnels. Years of massacres would follow and mines would turn into silent tombs...
Years passed, and the trolls pushed deeper and deeper into the dwarven underground realm. In the dark tunnels it was not uncommon to hear growls from giant trolls or the occasional breach of barricaded gates. The dwarves held out in the upper levels and did their best to organize a resistance, but their numbers were dwindling. They were in serious need of aid from outside.
The doom of the dwarves seemed to be sealed as a last push to drive out the trolls failed...The trolls were so close to achieving their goal of destroying the oldest realm on the Legorian continent. If they captured the Borrs, their would be no wall to guard the Legorian clans from a new invasion. The survival of the civilized peoples of Legoria was in jeopardy.
The situation would change however...
