my new awesome pelican! i made the bricks in gray and white.
About this creation
well, here it is! i finally found a week to build this monster. took me about 3 and a half days because of school but i finished this a couple days ago and i was itching to put it on my page. at first glance, id say this was about 100 percent better then my other one because i made this all grey. for those of you wondering about the red stripe its my new thing. for each of the models i build i put a red stripe down the center. this is sort of like a battle stripe for my odst platoon. "feet first into hell" is their motto and i find that a red stripe kind of looks like a bit of it. the first view is the top view. i think this pic is the best because thats what a pelican actually looks like.
side view. i completely demolished my old pelican and made a new cockpit from scratch. the side profile looks pretty nice.
cockpit. i redesigned the chaingun to scale with the rest of the pelican. this new gun can turn any direction. sorry for the yellow piece though. couldnt find a gray one fast enough.
the troop bay was one of the more challenging parts. at first, i wanted to seat about ten people, five on each side, but that would make the overall pelican too long. i decided that i would have to suck it up and make it seat seven. oh, well cant win em all.
this is probably the coolest section. i wanted to make the top come off easy so i just connected the roof to the main body by a couple of studs. then i just built out the tail normally, but i made it much thicker then my old one.
i also made the cockpit fold out so i wouldnt have to rip off the top to put a guy inside. i find this very convenient as i am always switching pilots.
going off to rescue some marines!!
COMMENTS ARE APPRECIATED!
feedback on how i could make it better or change things would be nice!
thanks for looking!
