Spaceman Spiff in his Spiffcraft from Calvin & Hobbes. Built out of the bricks of only one 4105 red bucket.
About this creation
When I bought one of those new 4105 red buckets, I wanted to use those nice tan bricks, so I build my first human sculpture. There are not that many bricks in the 4105 so I made just a small sculpture of Spaceman Spiff. And as you can see the Spiffcraft is a little bit too small and half sunken into earth because there aren't that much red bricks, either. :-)

I digitized the model so I could painlessly take it apart and use the bricks for another model.

Ooops, I forgot to build the tail wings before I shot this photo with my old webcam.

   Now with tailwings.

These are the bricks I used.

Just in case there's someone who doesn't know Spaceman Spiff...

Unfortunately, Watterson could not explore him more, though he has a very rich history. I would suggest that you look it up, as it is pretty interesting.

Spiff is one of my favorite themes from the strip. If only Watterson had explored him more.
