LOM Interceptor
A Martian space interceptor
About this creation
Thank you for checking out my Lego creation! This Martian themed starfighter began as a whim trying to build something in orange. And it was also a study using the X-Pod end caps to create a cockpit (also used on my Blacktron Raptor model). So I began there and built out from the cockpit. The engines with the gear fitted inside were borrowed from earlier creations. To give the ship a more "alien" feel I added the wing pylons with laser cannons on the wing tips.

This main view shows the basic configuration of this interceptor.

As mentioned, armament includes wing tip laser cannons as well as eight missiles (in white).

Semi rear view. After trying out several different ideas I thought these simple wheel hubs made decent exhaust nozzles for this craft.

Rear view.

I was able to squeeze in a top hatch.

The wing tips fold down for storage.

Two Martian interceptors on orbital patrol.

Nice MOC! I like it! The only thing is that the Life On Mars sets had less orange and more tan and brown colors. Other than that, it's great!

This is an amazing MOC! Most of the orange schemes I've seen are more 'forced' (making it work instead of letting it work, if that makes sense...), but yours is almost intuitive, and sleek! Great job!

Great Work, simplistic but very elegant, reminds me of spaceships from old sci-fi films. I am absolutly delighted.
