About this creation

"The Phantom slowly, gravely, silently approached. When it came near him, Scrooge bent down upon his knee; for in the very air through which this Spirit moved it seemed to scatter gloom and mystery. It was shrouded in a deep black garment, which concealed its head, its face, its form, and left nothing of it visible save one outstretched hand. ... It thrilled him with a vague uncertain horror, to know that behind the dusky shroud there were ghostly eyes intently fixed upon him, while he, though he stretched his own to the utmost, could see nothing but a spectral hand and one great heap of black."

I thought I would ring in the Christmas season with this little MOC; when I was over in Enfield CT on the 21st, I was able to buy a ton of black chains (among seven gallons of other stuff) so I thought I'd put them to use (although I only ended up using about half of them in the end.) I was stacking them straight up, and the way the chains wrapped around the stack reminded me of some sort of chainmail robe. It's really a very simple MOC - it only took me a couple hours, max, but I like its style.

Wow, this is brilliant! I just made "A Christmas Carrol" tower, so I decided to look at other similar creations. You've got your own "tower" here! That ghost is so tall! Well done!

Great impact from a small dio. The chain robe is superb and draws the eye up to the looming spectre. Super stuff again.
