Due to increasing needs, South Australian Railways commissioned the construction of the 520 class in 1943. They combined the good features of the previous 500 and 620 classes.
About this creation
Here is my take on the South Australian Railways 520 Class. Only 12 were ever built but 2 are still preserved. 523 is on display at the National Railway Museum. 520 has been preserved by Steamranger Heritage Railway in working condition but currently is unserviceable requiring major maintenance.
I am hoping in the near future to build several passenger cars for it. I hope you enjoy my MOC.
Their streamlining was built in the same style as the PRR T1. They never saw out there expected service life due to the introduction of diesel.
