Here is a simple tutorial including tips.

About this creation

Tip 1. Measure your MOC before decaling so you know how big each decal should be.

Tip 2. Find images of what you have built on the internet for decal reference.

Tip 3. Find images of logos or anything else you need to use in your decaling.

Tip 4. Use auto shapes for the basics.

Tip 5. Some logos are not as easily found on the internet so free form shapes can be used to draw the logos.

Tip 6. Work on matching fonts with the fonts used by the railroad. Sometimes bolding a font will make it look closer to the real thing.

Tip 7. Format using fill color, line color, and size.

Tip 8. Designing decals takes some practice and experimentation as does building with Legos.

You should check out brandsoftheworld.com for vector logos. They have a huge selection of logos. You can make them as big as you want and they won't lose quality!
