With the ALRV becoming less utilized, VDS decided to go entirely radical and redesign the entire structure. Thus, the ALRV Mk.II is presented. Instead of the regular two-man seating, the Mk.II allows for two men in the cab as well as an additional two or three in the rear bed. Generally seen with a 7.62mm LMG atop of the cab, the Mk.II has a bad aftertaste if encountered by infantry. However, instead of opting for amphibious drop-off as in case of the original, the Mk.II is perfectly designed for airdrops. With that in mind, said unit is generally sent ahead of the lines mounted with AT munitions to harass armour and enemy transports. Upgrade kits have also been established (but not shown here) to add a bit of armor to the vehicle itself, or, in case of SOFs, extra equipment to fulfill the mission at hand.

Note: I know the photos are lacking, after a few weeks, if not months, of not taking pictures I find my hand not as steady. And I didn't realize until afterwards I had a filthy lens. In any case, there will be a later re-shoot of the photos. So, please let these slide until then.

Love the entire thing. Headlights would be a nice addition though.
Headlights are there. They're the trans-smoke cheese slopes next to the bley hood. Can't really see them because of the photography, but whatever. Thanks for the compliment, by the way. |

I like how you designed the front, and the windshields. Reminds me of a Warthog with that turret in the back. |

Hey Erik nice to see a moc from you again! It is me Kenneth if you remember me. I am going by my first name now not my middle one. Anyways this sure looks like a light reconaissance vehicle! I like the overall look of it. Anyways nice work 5/5. Oh can you check out my 2 newest MOCs? I think you would like them. Thanks! ~David PS- How long does it take you to make something like this?
Generally, something about this size takes the lesser part of the day. However, since this was my first time experimenting with an odd-stud vehicle it took me about a day and a half to finish it plus or minus the few add-ons that came about during my waiting period for my new USB cord to arrive.

I see you finally received your USB cord, although that was blatantly obvious. Nice work on this remake of your ALRV. Seems your SOF units don't know a thing about camouflage, either. :P I was planning on building a recon-type vehicle; more specifically, a DPV. Great job as aways, Erik.
Psh. Camouflage? Who needs that when you can go in kicking and screaming? I'll probably end up making a DPV eventually as well to add to the Desert Legionnaires. Anyhow, thanks for compliment. |

Real nice! Also, may I inquire as the the meaning of the little text in you homepage?(The one that is not in English)
Are you speaking of the Anglo-Saxon text? If so, it's a jest Awesome-o-saurus and I have set talking of a character from Battle Star Galactica; namely, Baltar. The said text is somewhat of a chant spoken by that of his followers. |
