About this creation
Dr. Lentz's last masterpiece, designed and spawned in the labs on board the Galamoth.
25.75 mt tall (circa 62 cm, 24.4 in) humanoid mech, featuring the most advanced ArchoGenis techs.

With extensive energy shields, regenerative structure, Bionite plating and a double Psi-Field, the Rig Veda (named after one of the Hinduist sacred texts) is a dread machine worth an army. And it costs like one!
On his back you can also see 2 orbital missiles, designed to penetrate deep in the hull of a vessel before detonation.

The fact that Psi-Ops are rare and extremely valuable made it necessary to oversee many misdemeanor, and even some felony. Finally, ArcheoGenis Command found the perferct way to deal with unworthy psychics: they are put in stasis and function as "Psi-batteries" for the Rig Veda.

The Mech's EAP (Evolved Artificial Personality, extremely advanced AI)) saps into their unconscious and can also use and amplify all their abilities! (Although usually one of them has powerful offensive abilities like plasma bursts or elemental attacks and the other defensive like force fields, technopathy, telepathy, etc.)

The Rig Veda also packs an extra punch. Well, actually 2.
(you may ignore the transformation sequence, it's only there to show the system of mobile plating that takes the place of the extra arms)
And now you see him in close combat configuration (those are the blades you saw on his back).

His personal arsenal also includes SPINNING POWERBLADES to shred enemy vehicles and buildings.
(As well as 2 plasma grenades on his forearms. Can you see them?)

Also, his secondary arms can easily reach for the gunz attached to his waist (a double barrel shotgun and a rifle, both with vibroblades) to waste all those bothersome interceptors.

Yet for more challenging missions, the Rig Veda is equipped with his very own custom weapon.

Aren't you tired of choosing between the oustanding penetration and range of a Rail Gun and the awesome rate of fire of a Gatling gun?
BEHOLD! The GATLING RAIL GUN!

EAT THIS!
800 bpm (bolts per minute), effective at 14 km, Psychically enhancable! It equips an after burner to counteract the immense recoil, that would be enough to send the Rig Veda flying!

Whether on the battlefield or in urban combat, the Rig Veda is utterly merciless, combining the emotionless logic of a machine with the cunning and determination of an highly evolved AI.

Entire armies were wiped out witout even laying a scratch beyond the Rig Veda's barriers...

And how good is your Kung-Fu?

And now, a small black light gallery.
Front view. Notice the Shield Plates on his shoulders.
The Rig Veda's "wings" drain radiating energy from the environment to feed its double brain-core. They are also equipped with an additional shield emitter each to deal with heavy firepower and a small plasma gun, or a rocket.
The Gatling Rail Gun shooting its aluminium rods with neutronium round head. COSTLY!
The dreadful sight of the Rig Veda advancing (and a very cool wallpaper, if I may say so myself).

Details of the Gatling Rail Gun's barrels. Each of them is actually built as a separate Rail gun!
My ArcheoGenis Folder (check out how much I suXXed when I started!)
ArcheoGenis group
Note #1: Shooting in black light is HARD!!!
Note #2: This is basicalliy a technic build covered in system and bionicle. The fact that the lower part of its legs and its heels are made of heavy bricks and slopes gives it an uncanny stability, for a humanoid shape this size.
Note #3: He's so playable! Full of hidden weapons and moving parts, I love playing with it! Too bad I'll soon need his calves and other parts :(
Inspiration for this mech came from THIS and THIS by Jibs Studios, and Mazinger by Go Nagai
Winner of The 2010 "Massive Mother of LEGO Contest". Yay me!
Comments are welcome. Shameless expressions of awe and adoration even more.

Wow, Bionicle parts that actually make for an awesome mecha....this build is so full of epic win, Yuri. I would second Parrington's words but, to be honest, there's been a LOT of good builds on MOC Pages lately but yours and his are among the best that I've seen so far. Keep up the good work!
As I said, as soon as I get my Lego here I'll try another huge mecha. We'll se if I still got it. |

ALSO: How the heck did I manage to MISS Reviewing and Commenting on this beast? LOVE that torso and the sheilds-effect clear-trans shot. Gatling's also beautiful - you know how much I love this Scale (looks close to Grond! ;)---Gratz again!

Wow! This is like, wow. The gatling rail gun is an awesome and devastating idea! I do believe it would fire tungsten rods instead of aluminum. That soft of a metal would turn into paste on contact with anything hard, unless that was the idea? Hahaha
Yes. The projectiles must be able to deform to accumulate arresting power. It's not a piercing weapon, it's a wrecking weapon. |

This is amazing! Why doesn't it have more guns than the Gatling Rail Gun? Although I it the Grail Gun, great job on it.
Well, ih has 2 more on its waist, to be used by its secondary arms. Don't forget that those "small" guns are bigger than most mechs' and it has lots of other weapons on its body, and an immense strength. The GRG is only for overkill :) |

that day has come, I have turned to the dark side, of MECHA building. While I have visited your page many times, I haven't had an appreciation for the immense amount of work that goes into building a large humanoid MOC that has both mobility and stability. This is an outstanding MOC, outlandish, dare I say phenomenal. Great job, your work no doubt subconsciously inspired me, especially since this is a Psy-Ops Mecha. Great job, especially tackling taking night shots. |

I don't like the hands. Too small. But that doesn't detract from the MOC at all!
FINALLY SOMEONE DID NOTICE!!! lol I know, it oricinally had 2 bigger, all Bionicle hands. I had to change them because they were too heavy to let the Rig Veda carry the GTG (thanks, Stuart). That was the maximum size allowed by the shoulder joints. Again, the form/function balance exacted its toll :)

Well sorry to have missed this wonder !!! Once again, you've build a fantastic bridge beetween those good old space sparts and the Bionicles ones - BTW did you know, they will be discontinued for 2010 :-/ But here it takes the form of a gorgeous Masterpiece with a capital M ! The last shots are simply incredible. Great work mate !!!

They are convicted criminals. Hence "Psi-Con Mech".

Is it talller or shorter than Grond? I want to see this next to others!
It's 19 cm shorter (horns/ridges excluded, on both). And my collection only allows me to keep 1 giant at a time.
Quoting Brady G
He looks like he's wearing pants 2 sizes too small for him.
That's exactly what I was going for. Like the 2 sides are separated in neon lime/neon orange, the upper and lower part are separated in silver/black. You may notice that his "belly" plate is the only part featuring all 4 colors.
Quoting Brady G
The gatling rail gun breakdown was clever, but in Science Fiction theory, the two side accelerators are not 100% solid in their place, to allow for the shockwave, object passing, ect.
Ha! that's what the 2 reversed 'miners wheels are for: they are supposedly a shock adsorber :)

Gee, why so small?

Whoa, this is probably my favourite of all your ArcheoGenesis creations. Normally I don't really like assymetric creations, but the two different neon colours work great together, and...just whoa. Also, I thought you'd ran out of ideas for gatling guns, you make them that much. Obviously not...:P |

First off, that thing is HUGE! Secondly, excellent design on this, loads of great details. Third, it warms me heart to see a MOC with UV light! As for Note #1: Yes, it is a pain to take photos in UV, but the end results are usually worth it. |

Whoa! I especially love the morbid concept of using people as psy-batteries. Also, the placement of the neon parts and the blacklight do wonders for the presentation. |

Any ways, this is the most amazeing Lego Mech EVER! I like the Orange and Green Neons on seperate sides. Is it talller or shorter than Grond? I want to see this next to others! |

Oooh black light... suits it very well... what makes it so hard? As has been said the Gattling Rail Gun is epic. Great psi-tech as well. I would be one of the unworthy psychics in the shoulder pods :( (If I was a psychic that is) |

Hey Yuri,
this one rocks. Its really fascinating how you get such heavy structure poseable and stable. The weight would be interseting. How heavy is your guy? more than 2 KG? I guess allmost three...
I will have to jump into bionicle some day too.
Thanks for all the effort you take to make your fantasies visible for others here.
It only weighs 1.3 Kg (without weapons). The body structure is hollow and most of its weight is in his legs and feet to enhance stability. Seriously, I hit it with my... ehm... leg while shooting it, and it didn't fall :) |
