Wait, you thought I'm in R3? Well, actually, I'm in two tournaments at the same time. I find that MOC-offs bring out the best in my LEGO creations.

Why do I even bother writing those tidbits? (^) Not like it isn't obvious.

Not much to say here, It's a mosaic, after all. After I built this one, I have a new appreciation for mosaics. They are tedious projects, requiring hours of rebuilding after you run out of 1x1's, and put blisters in your hands when you decide, 'it's only two bricks, no need for a brick separator.' Seeing the fruits of your efforts is truly satisfying, though. (unless you're like me, In which case I'm getting freaked out by the monstrosity I've created, while trying to type. Ay ;eats I havnt''' ben two afectred. No, seriously, in the tiny display of the main pic of MOCpages' page editor, Maul truly looks real. And if you squint...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!, HE'S GONNA GET ME!!!

For this mosaic, I really wanted to get in as much detail as possible. Since his chin is the same color as his tunic/shirt, I opted to make the face one brick tall, with the background at the usual plate level. Maul measures 48 studs high, 32 studs across, and 1 1/3 bricks high at the tallest point. Attempting to put in the most detail possible, I embedded the eyes, put tiny dips in for nostrils, and even the entrance to Maul's auditory canal is a circular dip. I also used ridged bricks for teeth, and purposely used aged white bricks (slighty yellow-brown) for teeth, since everyone knows Dark Lord don't brush their teeth. Anyways, hope you like it.

Oh, yeah, there's only two pics. Really, how many angles of a two-dimensional MOC can you post? (answer= 2, but you probably don't want to see the back. It's just a pair of baseplates.) And good luck to my opponent.

Very nicely done with a good amount of detail. The only flaw i see is the chin is a little too long. Other than that, this is sweet!

Excellent mosaic- maybe mouth could be a bit better but i don't have any ideas so best just let it be- Very good Maul-mosaic anyway...

Mosaics are hard, but I think you pulled it out very well. I particularly like those snot ares, brings out a higher level of detail, you couldn't get otherwise. Nice job.
