Louisiana State Capitol Building
I wanted to try my hand at making a model of a large/tall building. I decided my home state capitol building would be a good choice. This model is 44 1/2 inches tall.

Hello, My name is Thomas McMorris, I work with the West Baton Rouge Museum in Port Allen, and we saw your article in the Advocate about the New State Capitol Building and we just love it. Personally, I've always loved those Art Deco style buildings and your rendition looks fabulous. We were wondering if you would be interested in having a display here at the museum this summer. We would love to see what you still have erected and what else you're building right now. You can contact me at tmcmor1@gmail.com or by phone at (225) 614-4703 Ext. 15. You can also see more about our museum at westbatonrougemuseum.com. I really look forward to hearing back from you soon!

Absolutely wonderful build Rita. You have proven you are a master in the true sense. You moved out of your comfort zone and succeeded with great flair. This is a great MOC of a beautiful building. On first glance it looks a lot like the Los Angeles City Hall building. Regards, Eric.

Well, when I saw the thumbnail I was gonna yell at you for using a picture of the actual building, well I burned myself.

BEAUTIFUL! A really precise rendering, and I love the fact you chose to photograph it outside. The natural light only adds to the illusion of believability in the presentation. Just fantastic work.

Quoting Garth Danielson Great version of the capitol. The old LA State Capitol would be a good one to build too. I remember seeing that back in the 70's. see ya. garth
Hi Garth. I didn't expect to find that anyone would have actually seen the actual Louisian State Capitol Building. That was really neat. And even more amazing is your comment about the old capitol building. I already have that one on my agenda to build. I've got to make a trip to Baton Rouge to get some more pictures before I can start work on that model. So Thanks.

Absolutely gorgeous and spot on build Rita! I think you are one of the most unappreciated builders on this site. The fans that you do capture are loyal though. Keep up the excellent building, I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

welcome to the most addictive theme of all. 44 inches tall is pretty BIG. Superb job, and striking appearance with the all-white design.

Like it very much I do. Strong in the force you are. Sorry, I've been viewing too many Star Wars Mocs, but I do like it a lot. Inspires me to continue my present project which is Kronos. I've been adding detail that wasn't in the movie and it was getting tedious! After seeing this, I shall not despair!
