Octuptarra Droid (V.2)
The Octuptarra Droid from the Star Wars saga.
About this creation
It's been a long time since I've posted a creation, so I'm proud to present my second version of the Octuptarra Droid! I decided to rebuild the old one when I stumbled upon a technique that I call the triple-clip technique (if it has been invented already, let me know). It works as follows: put a bar inside a steering wheel and a 2x2 dish. Now you can attach 3 clips on it. It's such a solid construction that you can pull the bar out after the clips are attached. Using this technique you can make a perfect radical threefold symmetric base. The only downside is that I could't find a way to make the legs articulate and thin at the same time. Well, I'm to old to play with lego anyways ;).

Like the previous one, the neck can extend for better range of view.

The instructions. As you can see, pretty common pieces. So everyone could/should make one ;).

I can't wait to put these two in a diorama.

This is nice one! What type and measure of the tire did you use for the inside of the ball parts?

Quoting durruti_cnt libertad A brilliant work on this, the spidery-look is flawless... can't wait to see this MOC and the crab-droid thingy in a diorama. Plus, instructions are very much appreciated (even if I lack the right pieces in the right colour now, all credit would undoubtedly go to you were I to include this in any creation of mine).
Thanks for the kind words ^^. The closest thing I have to instructions is that blown-apart-picture. If any piece is unclear, I'd be happy to help out. Feel free to use my design, as long as you give credit ;).

Quoting droid-hunter commander Is this your favorite droid from the CIS?
Yes definitely. I realise I make more droids than other things, but that´s because droids are easier to make than walkers or any big things.

This second version is really better than your last one. The usage of the pistols of the bottom of the legs is very creative. I like your triple-clip technique. Also, well done on the legs(even if you think its not thin enough). Like I mentioned on your Destroyer Droid, it has a complex look that I really liked. Sorry for the late comments. You've done a brilliant work on it. Hope to see your next upcoming mocs! P.S. I forgot what your birthday date was, but I know it was somewhere in early December, so, Happy Birthday! ~ Ghostman :)
