Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, It's the revolutionary ship from the Hitch-hiker's Guide To The Galaxy. Now, Before anyone screams "That's not what it looked like in the movie!" No, it's not. This is the significantly smexier version from the TV series.
About this creation
In the radio series it's described as a "White running shoe" Hopefully you can see this via this handy side shot.
The curving looks slightly better from here in my opinion. My brother came in part way through and said I should make it bigger so I could get the curves right, but that conversation ended with a blood stained wall. It's fine as it is.
Yes, the engines are this small. Infinitely improbable that they could actually move it, don't you think?
The underside is by far my least favourite part of this whole ship. I could have done some clever trick to make both sides completely smo0oth, but I wanted to get this done before my brain forgot about the contest entirely, which would make me look bad. I'm against John Moffat, so I doubt I'll win anyway...
Oh man, you beat me to it with your Heart of Gold. And a good one it is too! Being also more of a fan of the older versions, I think you went for the right look. Now...since this has already been built now, I think I'll make a galactic demolition bulldozer thingy.
