About this creation
Count Dooku had a nice solar sailer, and I wanted, too. But why have it to be a little, weak craft? Why not make it out of a cruiser, or something like that? :D
Ra Solar Sailer is a completely unique craft. Originally it was an assault frigate, but when it became too old to serve in army, it was bought by an eccentric man. It was dearmed, most of interiors removed, to make the ship lighter, as well as most of the hull in front and mid section. 6 giant sails work as engines, cooling system and solar panels adding lots of valuable and free power.

Original frigate, the Radegast, was classic battleship having 150 meters length. The Ra is not longer, but approximately 2x lighter.

Altough the ship is disarmed, its plating is surprisingly strong. Also, 2 main engines and reactor powering them is not changed, so the ship can be really way faster than original.

Leftover part from original frigate, having secondary bridge. Added a little observation room on the top.

To reduce the mass, most of the hull in front and back were removed. Only escape pods and airlock module are left there.

About the construction itself: Altough it may seem fragile, it is not. like all my constructions it is a fully multi-levelled one. Sails are fragile and easy to rip, but it is unavoidable.

The main bridge. Whole ship can be piloted by a single man, which is very unique capability. Standard crew is 20.
