The "Burtonmobile"
A LEGO version of Tim Burton's Batmobile from the feature film, "Batman"
About this creation
An updated version of my first Burtonmobile. The frontend has been rebuilt, and the rear fins lowered to more accurately relfect the original. The canopy still uses the same mechanism to move forward.

A shot of the new frontend. Notice that the fins don't ride above the canopy as they did with the original car.

The canopy still slides forward allowing for an easy entry/exit.

   Batmobile updated.

The Burtonmobile in all of its black glory!

   More Burton goodness!!

A nice street-level shot. This car was made for running down crooks and old ladies.

Every good MOC has a backside.

Batman. Yes, this pointy eared freak (oversized head and all) actually fits into this sleek and sexy car. Its a good thing Michael Keaton is so short.

Keaton looks out of the cockpit which slides forward for an easy entry.

   Another mean looking shot.

An overhead shot showing the canopy opened. It slides on a technic rod concealed by tiles.

Another shot of the car from an angle.

   This is the end.

It's pretty cool. I really hate Tim Burton a lot though. Christopher Nolan forever!

this is pretty good but your other batmobile is better, and your right-every good moc has a backside-so check out my "Eddie" skycar, it has a great backside, with a hatch that cannot be seen(almost) bcuz of its shape..ahh what the...its too ard to explain you gotta see it to understand

Yeah, this deserves a alot more flack than the multi coloured monsrosities I often see around here. 1 thing I have learned about building MOCs from popular fiction - DON'T. There are too many rivet counters in this world. Unmistakable look, good details, it may not be perfect but it's darn close enough for me!

Nice Batmobile. Very sleek design that's true to the movie. The opening cockpit is a nice touch. Check out my version of Keaton's Batmobile if you get a chance.

Why has this got two stars? This Batmobile is stunning, and 10000 times better than the set. The attention to detail is incredible. Make more Batman stuff Joel!

Two stars!? Two fricking stars!? Who the heck gave this two stars? This is seriously THE best Keaton car out there. I am not just saying that. The only thing i might change is the wheels to the all-black four-wide technic variant, but it still is so nice it works very well. Great job. Your small Batmobile is way better than my fourteen-wide version of the same car! This is what the Batman set should've looked like. Keep up the good work. P.S. ANychance of a batmissile?

Honestly I don't know what everyone's talking about, I think it's the best Batmobile for the first Batman movie I've seen anyone make so far. However something seems odd about the front head lights but other than that it's Mondo sweet. Hope to see a Batman & Robin or Batman Forever Batmobile ;) TFP

I agree with the fellows below; this is what a batmobile SHOULD look like :D

Finally... this is how it should have officially been done. Everything in the new sets looks more like Michael Schumacher built it, so kudos to you for doing this ome justice. Awesome MOC.

Sweet! I really like how the whole thing flows, no brick seems out of place. Good job!
