Thank you for the complement; I am glad you were able to recognize it as the Biltmore in Ashville NC. the LDD did a good job but working with real Lego's should result in an even more realistic model. I too am very interested in the châteaux style construction.
yes it the home built by George Vanderbilt the architect was Richard Morris Hunt he modeled the house on three châteaux built in 16th-century France. It features 4 acres of floor space, 250 rooms, 34 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, and 65 fireplaces. Construction on the Biltmore House started in 1889.
It is reminiscent of 'Biltmore' the Vanderbilt Mansion, also the mighty Chombard chateau in France. And it also has similarities to a mansion called 'Waddensdon Manor' owned by the De Rothschild’s here in England... Are you fond of chateaux, they are my favourite buildings, I want to build one but Lego do not do roof tiles with a steep enough incline for the mansard roof?
I like it

I had the same problem with my Reichstag, but yours doesn't look too bad, since it looks like you were building from the front backwards. I built my from the bottom up, so it's roofless and obviously incomplete.
