The Peregrine is the Taikeen's answer to the starfighter; with a special set of ordnance allowing for mecha duties.
About this creation
I built the Peregrine a little while ago, but I haven't put it on MOCPages yet.
The Peregrine is the Taikeen's answer to the starfighter. Built for anti-capital ship assault, but with ordnance options that allow it to function well in most situations.
While not as maneuverable as smaller starfighters, the Peregrine is heavily armed, and armored.
Starfighter Loadout
The cockpit is well protected under a thick layer of armor, towards the rear of the Peregrine.
When looking at the rear of the craft you can see the two types of engines
Mecha Loadout
The ordnance options on the Peregrin include a pair of arms and legs that can be attached to hardpoints on the undercarriage.
This loadout is most often used for anti-capital ship assault, where the addition of legs allows the Peregrin to "skate" along the hull of the ship causing as much damage as possible. Like all the ordnance available, these can be jettisoned the instant they are not useful.
With these options, the Peregrin can fill most duties available to a mecha, including urban combat where a favored tactic is to perch on the tops of buildings and wait for targets that become available in the city.
Mecha Loadout with All Weapons
Play Features
Opening Cockpit
Opening Heavy Missile Bay (contains two missiles)
Ordnance Shot
All the goodies
This belongs in the same "theme" as my Hyperion, and I still have both built, and sitting on my shelf.

FYI, a Peregrine is a bird of prey that primarily hunts other birds
All this time I thought a Peregrine was a Took that primarily helped Baggins' destroy rings of power! See kids, you CAN learn something new every day. Beautiful build BTW, very Robotechish. MOCy Festivus!~H |

Now that's just plain cool! Reminds me of the robotech toys and the original Jetfire Transformer (same mold) AND... the battle tech mechs from the 80s! Very nice work! Merry Christmocs! ~ Chris.
Glad you like it!
I was channeling a lot of Robotech here. My original idea was to have a transforming fighter, but that wasn't working with the scale I wanted, or with the theme I started with the Hyperion (base model with a bunch of attachments). |

This is quite an interesting MOC. I love the concept of the arms and legs being "ordinance" and non-essential. I also like how you've jam-packed this thing with weapons. |
