About this creation

This is a brick built storage system I made last year, but havn't got around to posting ( it's busy being used! )

It went through a few stages of evolution, from a corridor with tanks, to the current drawer/attic system which works pretty good.

*update* treasure house is still intact but everything has been moved to small parts oranizer drawers for little tooly bits. 1 set of drawers for minifig related stuff and another set for small bricky stuff. I have no immediate plans to cannibalize the treasure house, but a redeveloper might refit it for low income housing or high rent condominiums. it's pretty pricey real estate for being empty these days...

Ęther Flux : coins are all in the chrome, plus all those gold ore pieces ( the shiny clunks that connect all the coins together ) ... can't throw out anything....

Matthew : the bricks wern't doing anything special at the time, and the bling demanded a bling worthy container. I'm a slave to the brick... most of my actual containers are ice cream buckets and bleached out peanut butter jars, and a set of rubbermaid tubs and bins I splurged on once. I'm pretty cheap with my storage as it is =)

David : the drawers can pull right out, and then if I can't find it right away I dump it in a lid to a tub. my workbench is very cluttered with sorting lids, they are good temporary trays when making stuff.

Benjamin : all my other lego is very unglamourously stored in icecream buckets, peanut butter jars, and some very plain but nice rubbermaid tubs. this is a fun solution for all those itty bitty bits that you would otherwise need a fishing tackle set of drawers or something.

I use plastic bins, much easier, but your way is much cooler. Great job.

Neat, though if I were to build something like that I wouldn't have anything left to store in it! I like the colour scheme, though wonder how you find stuff in drawers that deep :-)

Very cool idea but still, plastic tubs would be a way cheaper alternative. : P
