Kaneda's bike.
MOC made in May of April 2006 , aprox.
About this creation
Well, the plot of the movie is too complicated to explain, so I'll just say this: if you have seen akira, good for you, you know what the heck I am talking about, if not, then just see it as a futuristic motorcylce.

The origignal movie poster of a really cool movie, I don't wanna make 50 paragraphs about it, so let's just skip to the MOC.

Now this is the cheap@$$ copy and paste job i did to replace that bike with mine.

The first thing you will probably notice is the windshield, no it's not an official LEGO piece, made it with some plastic I had, like Scorp's Halo 2 warthog.

But don't think i went for the cheapest thing right off, I tried three different windshields, the one I used for my pelican, the one on the naboo fighter, and the one on obi-wan's ep 2 jedi starfighter.

I can even explain how I did it, but it would take too long and I don't care it's fake, it looks good and at least i didn't mutilate lego piecess like I ususally do.

Darn, the back does have the orange lights, but the pic is too dark.

The controls...I'm running out of things to say.

I don't know why I am putting it here sine i already know it's flaws, the dics are too big, th back a bit too big, etc.

I guess I just like to have awards on my MOCs (in this case, high ratings)

Oh and yeah, I made the decals myself, sorry if one is not accurate, I took pics ofthe movie and looked at screenshots, but some had different colors and decals.

I consider it one of my best, and it was surpisingly only two days long to make!...and made it when i was bored at 5 in the moring.

No it's not minifig scale, I tought too much detail would be left ot if I did that.

By the way, have you noticed I made the cussion entirelly out of minifig legs?.

The tired , like they glow in the movie when kaneda burns rubber...and other random moments, I'm not actually sure of wat it is, it just looks cool.

Yep, the front can lift up to let passangers in like the real one, too bad the pic was took in a hurry.

It's really good, you only should make the round ones next too the wheels a bit bigger, then it's perfect.

The studless detail and inventive building techniques used in this beauty leave me unable to lower the score because of my dislike of anime! Ehhh... not that I would do that anyway, of course. So yeah, great job! It's just downright awesome.

I just loved this Kaneda's Bike! Its wonderfull! Its very close to the original, has an excelent detailing that makes it look like a toy and all that in minifg scale! Incredible!

That is too good to be made by a mere human.

I have not seen the show, but I still find this an impressive piece of work. Well done.

Ah, I've seen it on Brickshelf yesterday, but I didn't realize it was yours...well, it's excellent: you got the shape right, with extensive use of imaginative building (the legs seat is brilliant) and tons of SNOT. And, even though it isn't a real Lego piece, the windshield is cut perfectly. Great job.

I really enjoyed the use of legs as the seat cushion. But that's just one example of a number of creative building techniques that clearly went into making this bike. Good work.
