Previously: Ache and Irrek fought against the Severed in a united demon form. Jin'Tak was able to get up, and sacrificed himself to destroy the Severed and the Book.
About this creation
Music for this chapter:

Irrek landed next to Ache.

Irrek: Thanks for the help. Not sure if I was going to make that fall.

The rest of the group came running to meet them.

Irrek and Ache looked toward them.

Brik: Are you two alright?
Gyfford: Anything broken?
Cadfael: Is it over?
Tyberious: What was that thing?

Irrek: Yes. It is over, and we're all safe. That thing was Arsem and Nefferon. They fused their life forces with that of the Exiled.

Brik: Where's Jin'Tak?

Irrek looked to Ache, who was lowering his head.

Irrek: Gone. He sacrificed his life to stop the Severed.

Everyone else lowered their heads as well.
Irrek: His sacrifice will not be forgotten. Mourning is appropriate, but we must also rejoice, for the darkness has passed.

Ache began to walk away from the group.

He entered the courtyard...

and walked up the stairs.

On top, he stared at the destroyed building.

He walked toward it...

and climbed the wall.

Jin'Taks body lay inside.

Ache went to him and kneeled by his dead brother.

The group watched as Ache returned.

He came out carrying Jin'Taks body.

Everyone watched as he walked toward the boat.

Ache set Jin'Tak down on the floor.

Ache: Everyone get on. Let's leave this awful place behind us.

The group began walking toward the boat.

Everyone got on...

and the began to sail away.

Irrek: Are you going to be alright?

Ache: I think so. I just... I can't believe he's gone. I was so thrilled to see him alive after all these years, and now...

Irrek: It was fate. Had it not been for Nefferon sending him to Mirum, you may not have ever found him. Be thankful for the time you did have with him. Besides, you still have us.

Ache pulled back his hood.

Ache: Thank you, Irrek. You've been a brother to me as well.
Irrek: And nothing can change that.

That night, Jin'Taks funeral services were held outside Mirum, right next to Leod's grave.

Irrek knelt before the grave.
Irrek: Thank you, Jin'Tak. Your bravery and your sacfrifice will not be forgotten. You have brought peace to this land, and your legacy will live on for generations to come.

Irrek stood up and walked back into the crowd.

Ache looked at his brothers grave.

He walked forward, carrying a frost lotus.

He placed the lotus on the grave. No words were spoken, but his eyes filled with tears.

The next day, Ache and the Brotherhood leaders were rallied to Irrek.
Irrek: You all have been summoned here today because I wish for you to be part of the first high council of this city. Do you accept?

Brik, Cadfael, Tyberious, and Gyfford: I accept.
Irrek: Ache? What about you?

Ache: I can't... I can't stay.

Irrek: What do you mean?

Ache: It is my bloodline that destroyed the city of Ferlon and sent Rensval into chaos. I'm going back to rebuild it.

Ache turned around to leave the room.

Irrek: Wait. I'm going with you.

You dont have to do this alone.
Brik: We'll come too.
Tyberoius: That's why you have brothers, to help you.

Ache: My thanks... brothers.

Quoting figgy TheFiggster AMAZING!!! I've read both the No refuge series and the chronicles of Mythada, and all I can come up with is Amazing. How long does it take you to produce a story this epic? I'd like to start my own series and any tips from an obvious story master would be helpful! Where do you get all of your lego pieces from?
I got all my legos from just buying and collecting them my whole life. As for production times, it really depends on the story. Mythada was mys first story, and each one only took a few months to make. The entire trilogy took a whole year to make, and this was my first attempt at comics. What Im doing now with No Refuge is a lot more complicated. Ive taken things to the next level, and have put a lot more planning and effort into it. No Refuge took nine months to produce and premiere. No Refuge II has been a lot slower due to many redos of the plot and life getting busier. Im currently working on producing my fourth version of the story, and Im not showing any until theyre all made, so this one is taking quite some time. If you want tips for a story, contact me in the No Refuge group forums or through the email on my home page.

I know this was posted ages ago but, I just noticed, the Ancients hardly do anything! They just follow everyone and then disappear! And yes, I re-read this. It was not my first time reading this superb trilogy.

I congratulate you for getting this far at all. It's really easy and fun to start something, but a pain in the butt to stay consistent with your own stuff. I give the entire series a 5/5, for getting this far, and being awesome!!! ~Stay consistent my friends

Are you kidding me? This entire series was 75 parts long, and has enough story to make three full books out of (which I am doing).

Emotional, sad, how a great series should be. I'm not sure anymore, if a flashback story wouldn't destroy the athmosphere?

Quoting Lord Lego 436 Way better with the music! By the way, I noticed numerouys typos. You said "We ascended the stairs" when it should have been 'he'. Also, you spelt Rensval, Resnval.
Thanks for the heads up. I fixed the typos.

A very good series, I hope to see maybe another one in the future. I also like how you were able to let go of the protagonist (you have no idea how tired I am of immortal clone commanders) and it's very well anrrated. Excelent job.

Theres no need for the Brotherhood anymore. Ferlon needs to be rebuilt, and Nefferon is dead. He is the reason for the Brotherhood in the first place.
