This is my favorite of all my stadiums. It has a completely minifig scale field with odd dimensions to accomodate a scoreboard and lights, underground dugouts, a covered main grandstand and press box with individual chairs for seats, and 2 large sets of bleachers at the ends of the main grandstand. I will be buying this over the next several years staring this summer. It is based off of small stadiums built in the early 1900's with its intricate designs that are medieval-ish. It is named after the founder of the Lego company, Ole Kirk Kristiansen

This is average to me, anything can be just as good with LEGO Digital Designer as it is to reality, you can get several more parts after getting LEGO Universe mode. |

Very nice. When you do buy it for real I would like to see actual pictures.
I will buy it, but not for a few years because it costs well over 1200 bucks, and at 14, I don't have access to that kind of money. I might start buying small fractions this summer, though. |

I'm sorry I didn't respond to your question on MocPages Advice in a timely manner, I didn't see your comment until now. I don't see any construction cons with the ballpark; it looks great. I think the price could be a con, $1200 is a lot for one set. If you are really willing to spend that much, then go for it.
I will, but it will be a project I have when I am at least 16 to 18. I am only 14 and I just don't have that kind of money. I will, however, buy it if I win a commercial contest thingy for school, cause I can win up to 500$. |

Thanks for the comment! Your stadium is looking great! I agree that a second concourse would be a great addition but I understand money limitations! I was amazed how much character was added to my model after people and players were included so I strongly suggest you do the same! Adding interesting people scenes can really grab attention too! Once I'm done with my current model upgrade I plan on adding the figurines to my cad drawing. It's going to take a lot of work to make them match the ones that are really there but it will be worth it! Look for the new Lego "Miller Park (Version 8)" page the week of March 8th.
Well, here is the problem, my money limitation will keep me from buying this until I am at least 16, because I'll job bagging groceries in addition to lawn care, but it costs over 1200$, and I only get about 800$ every summer. I am, however, using modular buil;ding sets to cunstruct a rather odd ballpark. Right now it includes the Green Grocer, and it looks great. I do use a lot of odd tecniques. I will post pics of the current version soon after I print ads. |

can you post pics of the new field
Yeah, probably tomorrow, I'm still working on finishing touches. I'm low on bricks, so each section is a different color, but the colors are symmetrical. I am also using some odd techniques for things, but I will have it posted tomorrow. |

I like it. If you want something else that you can do you can try to make a concourse, or make another level on top of the main deck.
I might add something like that eventually. I kind of dropped this idea because with the baseplates I just bought, and my Green Grocer, I built a small ballpark, and I'm just going to add on to that. It currently seats a little over 100, but that will go up soon. I am going to buy teams soon, though, and I want you to post decals and rosters for your favorite team you made so I can buy the minifigs. |

I know it might not look as good, but start with a square field and grandstand, and just configure the field to make it look better like I did with this stadium. It saves a lot of money, and you don't need underground dugouts or extra bleachers on the sides, they are just extras. I just like to use them for a better view for minifigs and a bigger capacity. |
|
|
No, it was going to be a lot more then that. I had already spent like $400 dollars on what I had there. |

Idk, I wanted to make like a real looking stadium but It was to many pieces and to much money and once school baseball starts I won't have anytime to work on it. If I do build one it would be much like scarlet stadium and only about 20in by 20in in size.
What you should do is just build a small grandstand and some sets of bleachers, and just make a small minifig scale park. KKM Stadium will probably cost me about 500 to 600$ in the longrun, but I have a job mowing lawns outside of baseball, so that really makes the price seem less scary. Trust me, a job is the way to go if you have a big project like this one. |

This is cool. I like the decreasing foul territory.
If you did not see, I have torn down Deep Run Park. It was getting to big and way to expensive. I am going to end up just making different plays in minifig size.
Why not make a smaller ballpark around the field? The field is fine. Try for around 400 to 500 seats total. I will soon post a good, inexpensive way to make perfect minifig scale seating like in this ballpark. |

Awesome! Just a tip is you should make the foul territory get smaller as it gets closer to the foul pole, so the grey seats are closer to the field. deep run park does this, so take a look at it.
I did change this, but I won't post any pictures for a while. |

Nice work. I look forward to seeing the real thing when you're done. Good luck with it. Can't wait to get my LEGO back out of storage. The LEGO room should be done at the end of Feb.
You may be done organizing, but you can still build during that time. Also, the soonest I will finish this is probably by at least the beginning of October 2010. Probably later though. |

Okay.
Maybe you can now add bullpens and you can move the lights back behind the stands so its not blocking any views.
The lights are on the sides, and thanks for the idea. That was a major thing I left out! I might not post new pics for a while, though. |

This is good. If I may suggest instead of the walls in foul territory maybe the foul territory can get small as you get more towards the home run wall. This will help not make the field just look like a square box.
The wall is only 3 bricks high, and the right field side now has seats. I could make the left field wall bigger though. |

I don't expect people to like it more than other stadiums. It is just the most detailed one I have. I want to know haw to make it better, though. |
