About this creation
After revisiting my OWNua MOC, I worked on it for a few more hours, and came up with this thing!

I tried to incorporate weapons from all three Onua sets - the Ghost Blaster, the Chainsaws, and a larger version of his claws which is just the right shape to hold a ball.
I kept the original Mata/Nuva mechanism, but reinforced it with a ball joint in his torso to compensate for the weight of his arm. The ghostblaster arm isn't connected to the mechanism.
With it, Ownua can lift objects, and can also dig like the old set does. I'm sure the wrist mounted chainsaws would help with that...
Just look at those thighs (?!). They are a new method, for me, using a series of ball sockets and old Robo-Riders pieces as armour. The pistons and agori arms supporting his legs clip directly into them.

For his colour scheme, I didn't stay true that much to the originals. I didn't include Mata-Red pieces like on the mistika (but there are mistika pieces), and I didn't add very much silver either. I think the gunmetal shoulders look better, even though Gunmetal was never on any Onua sets. For some reason that colour just looks more... onuaish. Besides, you could say I just combined black and silver, both of which he had.
The onua claw on his back flips down to cover the mechanism cog, and the Mantax claws hold it up when you want to twiddle it... hmm... inuendo?
But that's not the main thing. What I'm really proud about on this MOC is his back armour, wierdly enough. It's made from those gear-rack pieces off the Nui-Jaga. I have tried to use a lot of old 2001 rahi parts in this MOC...
...That's because, story-wise, this iss Onua, in his adaptive armour, adapted for fighting large amounts of fierce, vicious rahi in the Metru-Nui archives, as well as digging through collapsed tunnels.
And of course, his new mask is from Santa :P
Soo... yeah. That's my entry. This time, all of its pieces are Bionicle. :D

awesome entry! onua was alwas my favorite of the toa, and was my first set. the gun meatl looks great on him and gives him a darker appearance, which in my case would have been ruined with a lot of silver. i am also very glad you did not incorporate any mata red into the revamp, i hated how that was on the mistaka version. also, glad you used the nuva mask instead of the mistaka mask, that makes it look more like onua than the mistaka ever would have. great job on this, and cool gold onua mata mask, i have about three of them but its still cool to see others with cool recolored masks.
*SlowClap* Very nice indeed good friend, i say, but it's going to be a hard fight against my RAHKSHI OMEGA, and for that i must say, may the best MOC win.
