My Entry for the Bionicle Farewell Contest: Axonn the Grim
About this creation
Warning: Gratuitous use of 'blood' ahead. Ye be warned. :P
Reaching a comfortable 13 inches in height (including the head fin), Axonn was designed with upper body mass in mind to cart around his mammoth axe.
When not using weapons, he can certainly brawl with his original (more or less) massive hands.
Midsection appearance was mostly duplicated from Toa Mata Nui's, since I thought it would aid me in body twisting and solid legs. Plus it looks cool.
As you can see, his axe is taller than him.
The axe itself is quite hefty, with Axonn's balance offset so that he can stand up while holding it. It could possibly shoot lightning bolts from the tip. But wait, there's more!
The big single axe splits into two polearm axes!
An extremely odd close up of gears and things in his chest. They actually make his pecs move.
What's this? It's a Piraka Zombie!

Since one of the other entrants already said ROCK ON, I'll umm.... Woo!
The Real reason why Axonn is grim is because I was trying to give this tribute a transforming ability, namely into notable T-Rex transformer. Found that Bulk + Moving parts + Plastic Stress = Unhappy Bionicle. 3 to 4 sockets were fractured in the making of this MOC.
Anyway, that's that. Had hoped to get him up before the new year, but as usual, stuff happens. Happy New Year guys.
And yes, Yuri, I'm aware of the background issue. He's just too big lol

Okay, since Yuri kindly pointed out the significance of Rule #7, I've re-shot a few. Not all though, as that zombie fight took ages to get right lol

I guess I'm extremely late for saying this, but this is the 'most' epic version of Axonn ever!!! When I have the means I will try to make a super large version of Makuta Teridax with a scaled up version of the movie editon Kanohi Kraahkan mask. |

Not in a position to give advice eh? Isn't that the whole point of comments? lol And yes, I do believe that his build required more thicker forearms. I can't quite remember the reasoning but it was either A) Additional bulk would make the arms too heavy B) Not enough appropriate red pieces C) Wanted sleeker arms in the first place. Take your pick :P |
