Clone Customizers are ridiculed. The vulgar term "Clonetard" was invented just to describe them. How messed up is that?
Here's a little something to show you how I feel. Granted, it is a little exaggerated, but hey, that's what's got to be done.
Clone Customizers shouldn't be ridiculed this way.
About this creation
Someone sees a blank Clone, and thinks, "I could make this so much better." So they taker out their sharpie and their paint, their file and their knife. They set about to beautifying this bleak piece of plastic.
Pleased with their creation, they put it on MOCpages, where they know others with similar interests can enjoy it. Here, they are met with ridicule and hatred, instead of the praise they deserve.
Discouraged by their peers, the artist becomes depressed and stops making beautifying Clones.
Driven too the edge, the saddened Clone Customizer resorts to his last measure...
...and leaves they ones that ridiculed him behind.

Okay well, you are a bit right on this. But i think it are creations like this http://mocpages.com/moc.php/179225 that are the cause of clonetards. If you are good in customizing like this guy: http://mocpages.com/home.php/2345 I have no problem with it. But putting some random stripes on a clone and calling it 'commender ...' isn't original.. |

Alright, Awe, it's go time. Much as I do dislike to put oneself ahead of another, you will need to step up your message if you want it to become overpowering to ours, which one can assume you would not, and that is fine in all regards. You can preach about this art, but naming names upon us as the root cause of these 'problems' is going to end up badly upon yourselves'. |

Let me begin by saying that you, sir, are sterotyping US by saying we are stereotypes. Secondly, I do hope you realize our claims are relatively unbias in most regards, though now with your light shining of an indisbutable 4rr0g4ncy, as I shall put it, has given me the opportunity to base a series of mocs upon our favor, and do expect them to come soon. I honestly did not want to take such actions to keep mine and others' good names, but so be it.
Well said! I don't agree, but well said. |

"Thank you once again for showing the rest of the world the stereotype. Because that is it! The stereotype of "Clonetard" is not fair. Very few custom clones are like that! So many of them are perfectly nice, if not great. I've seen plenty of brick built MOC's that are far worse than many CC's, and their creators aren't ridiculed! It's because of the "Clonetard" stereotype. Every Clone Customizer is branded a "Clonetard", and they're shunned by their fellow builders. The only ones that comment on them are there fellow customizers. MOCpages is for every aspect of the LEGO community, and custom clones are one of 'em."
Could someone please smash my head into a wall? |

Ugh. There's nothing wrong with the comment that I wish to send.. Ugh. I wish MOCpages had a PM thing. |

Alright, I tried to voice my opinion twice on this, but each time it was cen sored (because that might be a blo cked word too, and same with that one for all I know). It basically boils down to this: These "artists" could be doing more than posting blurry photos of custom clones with no effort put into making a nice background or something, but they aren't. Maybe it's not us who don't like them that should be targeted. Maybe it's them, to encourage them to do better.

If someone would k1ll themself because of people not liking what they do on the internet, they're not right in the head. And furthermore, the people like me who coined the term cl0netard, did so because of the massive amount of not well done (because the censors probably won't ---- that) done "custom" clones with little or no effort put into photograpphing them or displaying them, and sometimes even the customizing itself, in a way people can appreciate. That's the reason so many no longer like Star Wars, the bad reputation that comes with it because of these young people posting them clones. Sure, it's great to see artistic talents being displayed, but surely, they can display them in a better way? Yes, there are great custom clones out there, and I applaud them, but they're severely outnumbered by the ones that are b4d. That's why the customizers are not well liked, the cascade of not well done custom jobs that come down, flooding out most of the good MOCs and customs. They could be much better, but most don't even try at making a background to show more effort.-Aos |

I will voice my opinion on this issue once more. this is a lego CREATION website. Sharpieing a clone is not a lego creation. I am against calling them clonetards but it is not a creation when draw on legos.Stop encouraging them by calling them artists. I remember you were against this issue. |

Well... I don't have anything against clone customizers but... you are saying that they are a bit suicidal... kind of... uh.. harsh... I'm just saying...
Yeah, I know. I'm an inherently lighthearted guy, and even when trying to portray something serious, it ends up having elements of comedy. |

This is very true. Some artists are discouraged by the criticism of others, when they just want to show the world what they have made. It's the artist's legos, and its their choice what they can do with them. |

Question, is it safe to be cutting, sharpes safe, unless you count the toxic fumes, but I use a knife for customising, and it is not that safe, your opinion?
Well, whenever you use a knife there is a certain element of danger. But this is about something else. |
