About this creation
This is a perverse subtheme that I have been delving into the past couple of years: broken bricks. I've never been able to throw out the broken bricks that I had, or any of the other 'garbage' like the knight plume strues, or the gold coin centers. Not sure exactly how it started, but people started saving their broken bricks for me, and I even ordered a few shipments of the stuff from overseas.
This building is still intact on a shelf, it's the condemned house. It's totally made out of either broken, stained, chewed, scribbled, burnt, or otherwise useless bricks. These structures were originally built as a place for all the poor broken minifigs to shelter in.
I gravitate towards constructions of less then ideal situations made of out lego, and like people's solutions for urban decay, burnt out buildings, grafitti etc. This is in the same vein as those sorts of creations, but built expressidly for the broken minifigs. Now any broken or faded piece I get is not shamefully put in a bucket, too never see the light of day, but not thrown out ( ooo much like the poor of society, how metaphoractionable ). Now it's put in the pot, and the impoverished section of the society has an untapped wealth of resources, and the toy hospital doctor in me sleeps easier at night.
Matthew: don't throw em away, throw em at me =)
