Just a quick build today. Originally I planed to make a much larger fighter, but instead what was originally going to be the engine top covers became the sides when I saw how nicely they looked on the side like how they are now.
About this creation
The Long Range Surveillance Craft Mk.9 was built for the fleet to act as a fighter support craft, as well as a recon craft and for exploration. The craft is essentially one large engine with advanced sensors and just enough room for a pilot. Do to its incredible speed, the craft is well suited to dangerous espionage mission that may require a quick escape. Because it is often used to spy on the enemy and is quite small, it had been dubbed "The Bug."
Although one would think claustrophobics would have a hard time operating this craft, really its the agoraphobics who do, since almost all they see is endless space all around them.
Under the hood of the LRSC-9 is the single massive engine.
Thanks! Usually I don't decide what the creation will be used for until after its finished, and then I pick something fitting. Originally this ship was going to be a considerably larger craft, with two engines that size, but A: I don't have quite enough white pieces for that, and B: I got sidetracked with making this instead. Although I don't particularly like the colour scheme on this one, a little bland.
The right tool for the job. Recon most times requires speed and this ship can certainly fill that requirement. Appropriate nickname, too. I wouldn't mind flying a git buggy like that. Fortunately I don't have either phobia.
