Modular Ice Cream shop/Chinese Resturant
About this creation
I decided to have a crack at a Modular Cafe Corner/Green Grocer styled building. I wasn't overly impressed by the clash in colours but happy with some of the techniques I tried out. Hope you like. The bottom floor features an Erdy Ice cream chain store (reference to Erdbeereis on Eurobricks who loves strawberry icecream) and the Cherry blossom tree and water feature lead to the spiral staircase entrance for the chinese resturant.

Man watch out for those cracks in the sidewalk!

I love the Green Grocer, Cafe Corner, Market Street, and the Fire Brigade. This would be the perfect addition to that collection! LEGO should seriously make this official.

The townie in my family whose name I won't mention (ahem...my mom) would go ga-ga over this. I have to say it is an excellent build. Maybe I'll show it to her. :)

I think this looks awesome. The house looks realistic and also fancy. Great work. -Sam

The facade is great, as are the interiors. I like that intricate detailing which makes the front of the building stand out.

So... is the restaurant named "Chinee Takee Outee" ? http://diner.marketamerica.com/Chinee-Takee-Outee/restaurant/Gainesville/FL/US/map/149199 (sorry I could not find a better link, but the referenced restaurant is literally an off-the-wall eatery and I would not expect them to own a website) XD

Are there any pics of the Chinese Restaurant part? The rest is really nice, though. I'm good at modular design; if I had the pieces I'd add something onto the Cafe Corner styling.

Nice. I'm buidling my first Cafe Corner Style set right now (the Green Grocer), and I'm really in the mood for these kinds of MOCs. Love the facade, in particular. Nice detailing to reflect the Oriental feel. And the tree on the side is a great idea.

Really nice. I don't think the colours clash too much at all and the details are great. The Wall mural of the blossom tree is very clever but I love the ice cream parlour, it's very cute.
