Vroom vroom... some Volvo goodness back from the 60s!
About this creation
A minifig-scale car. Started off as a 5-wide, but with the flex tubing on the sides unfortunately ended up as the usual 6-wide.

An amazing Volvo, I don't really no my Volvos until the 80's but this one looks amazing. I might try to build this car some time, my own 8 wide version. Epic ride!

Quoting Murre W Luger I really like it! the volvo amazon has always been my favourite car. I like the way you built it.. say could make tutorials on how to make it? i would really like one of my own.. anyways great MOC
Hey Murre, Thanks for your comment but sadly this MOC is long since taken apart so I don't have step-by-step tutorials for making it. However, this pic I took of it shows its parts so hopefully you can have a go at making it from this: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4281065

Quoting Dax Olesa I saw this a few days ago, but decided just now that I ought to let you how much appreciation I have for this creation. As far as I can tell, the building style here is more like that of an beautiful antique house than of a mere car. The way the underbody slopes up into the doors, the curve of the fenders, the design of the bumpers... Perfection. Stunning work.
Wow, Dax - thanks so much for your comment. I put this up on Flickr a few days before it was on MOCpages, and it got very little activity (only one comment), but now I'm really glad I put it up here. I should build cars more often, if they're going to be commented on my the almighty Dylan Denton! :D

That is one seriously cool car! Both the real thing and this nice model! i have to say, that is the most unusual car building technique I have ever seen, but you pulled it off very nicely! 5/5 for creativity ;D

Wow! Everything is so smooth and perfectly placed- great use of the flaps on the side of the windows, and the angle of the grills at the front! Fantastic Job -Danny

I remember, I remember. The liberals drove Volvos and the radicals drove Beetles. (I think they still do) This is a VERY good Moc.
