What is the idea of this light tent, if I may ask? I usually use a single lamp too, and a tripod...and my pics are clear. I wonder if that light tent makes any sense at all? Nevertheless, nice little flyer. ;)
The point of the light tent is to bring out color and remove excess reflections from around the room using muslin fabric (real cheap stuff) as a kind of light filter. It's certainly not what everyone needs, but in my house it's the most practical. |

Great build with nice pics. I agree with Keith: the hood should be plate higher, specifically, with a gray 2x4 plate under the center (to unify the colors) and some trans (yellow or clear) 1x1's on either side of the gray plate for lights. Seems like a MOC is never really finished, huh? I like the blue windshield, btw. KUTGW |

Nice, the roof pieces don't really do it for me, though. I like the bits that jut up towards the back, which sort of double up as backrests (guessing that was your intention? it works well). Got a similar photography set up to yours, but only lit from the sides... need a way to light from above, like you have as this provides a much better look vis-à-vis shadows and stuff. Although I trump you for size mwahahaha! (jk)
Thanks! The roof bits were mostly added in because I hadn't much else to put there. The one in the back serves absolutely no purpose at all! And yes, my box is small; apparently, big boxes are hard to come by :P |
