No Refuge: Part 01- A New Day
The first part of my long awaited comic series "No Refuge". Hope everyone likes it.
About this creation
Music for this part:

The young man sat up rubbing his eyes.

He heard someone on the street calling his name.

"Jake! Jake!"

"Jake! You won't believe this, I- Hey are you okay?"

Jake: "What? Yeah... I'm fine."

"You sure?"

Jake: "Yeah... just some dreams."

"Wanna talk about it?"
Jake: "No... it's alright. Thanks Tye"

Tye: "Anyway, I found a group of people out there. Some guy is leading them to a 'sanctuary'. I told them to meet me here."

Jake: "Really?"
Tye: "Yeah. Let's go, they should be coming up the road."

Jake went out to see these "travelers".

He looked over the debris.

Tye was talking to the group.

Jake noticed a man in white armor.

He reared back at the sight of the man.

He went to his table...

and concealed a pistol in his belt.

Tye: "You comin'?"

Jake: "Uh... I don't know."

Tye: "Come on, man. Where ever they're going has got to be better than here."

Jake: "Alright."

"But take this."

Tye: "You don't trust him do you?"
Jake shook his head.
Tye: "But he's with the government."

Jake: "And that's why I don't trust him."

Tye: "Let's just go."

Sorry for the long wait. This is probably going to be a normal thing now cuz I'm about half way into a "dark ages" period. I'll still build, just not quite as often.

Quoting Mark Kelso Nice job on the dialog, and setting up some interest for the reader! I'll be curious to see where this goes.
Thanks. I know you might get this a lot, but Im surprised a builder like you actually took interest in this :P Also, out of curiosity, did you read the prologue? There's not much to it, but it kind of sets up the background of the story.

Nice, good music and dialogue. I think that Tye (I hope I got that right!) is too trusting. Can't wait for the next one!

I disagree. For this story, using a teller is a nice style. And the small parts of dialogue were made pretty well. I already got an idea of the both characters.

Quoting Jake H. I forgot to add this, adding dialogue instead of describing what was going on made it MUCH better.
See? I said I would do that lol. It was only like that for the prologue since dreams rarely have memorable dialogue.

Brilliant! The music sets the scene perfectly, and the kind of mistrust that Jake has perfectly describes the society. Overall, a great start.
