sd-55 albatross water byplane
It is a albatross water byplane (a plane with two pairs of wings) with pontoons to keep it afloat. it was released in the year 1920. It was very progressive for its time.
About this creation
The view of the pilot behind the windshield and the "machineguns"

It is its pilot, holding an anchor, ready to secure his plane to the bottom of the river or the sea (just imagine my desk is a river or an ocean).

This is the first stage of the build. After this stage, I just started to add anything that looked cool.

This is the second stage. I added the second pair of wings, but there was no more space in the cockpit, so I had to throw out the chair.

Here I added the pontoons, and you can really see the steel bars, that support the pontoons. They gave me a lot of trouble.

Here you can see the petrol tank below. It doesnīt have much detail, but it does itīs job.

The tail didnīt give me a lot of trouble, but iīm sad that you canīt see the colour difference, because of the brightness.

That's nice. I don't know that these planes had or used anchors, but I wouldn't mind seeing an acrobat riding on the wings of your plane.
