About this creation
Hello, everyone. Sorry I haven't uploaded in a while, I've been busy. So it's been a couple of weeks since I posted this over on flickr, and I figured it was about time I posted it here, too.
This is my rendition of the SOEIV Drop Pod seen in Halo 3 ODST. I even made a video of it which you can watch on flickr.
So, on to the show.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
A front view, simple enough.

Rear view. You never really see the back of the pod in-game, so I took some artistic license, and made it look how I thought it should.

Here you see how the doors are hinged, as well as the ODST snugged inside, next to his Assault Rifle.

This here shows the drag chute which deploys from the top of the pod. I'm not sure whether the line connecting the chute is supposed to be solid or slack, but the concept art makes it look like a telescoping metal rod.

This is the same as the main image, but I'm doing these in sequence, and the main picture goes here.

...And, this one shows the pod after the main door has blown off, and the ODST has clambered out.

Hey guys, please do not ask for instructions. People always ask, and I never make instructions. I'm getting tired of it, ok? I might post an exploded view later.

I know this is going to be an extremely annoying question, but assuming (since you've stated that you are going to POSSIBLY make an exploded view), may I copy/use the design to produce ODST Drop Pods? Very annoying I know, but hey, at least I was able to figure put the design without instructions. Though anyway, on to compliments. Amazing work on this work of Halo in lego. It's amazing to see how far the Lego Community has come and I can easliy say, that this is the BEST ODST SIEOV out there. Unbelievable work, fabulous design, fantastic work, can only imagine the effort. Beautiful creation. Amazing....Simply Amazing. |

Needless to say, this is BA. The hinges and details are supurb!
And it was BA enough for me to sit down and LDD it. the Vents forced me to take a yellow scheme.

Very well made, the design is accurate and to the point. Only thing is that I think there is a cable and not a telescoping rod.
Maybe try some Lego rope.
Otherwise it looks amazing. |

How did you make the ODST trooper
That's redundant! ODST Trooper = Orbital Drop Shock Trooper Trooper. Anyway, it's just some new Agents armor with the logo Brasso'd off, and a new Space Police helmet, with a trans-blue head underneath.
