The Alliance's newest flying-egg-like aerospace/atmospheric fighter. This, of course, is my attempt to beat Gus Indo in a MOC-off.
About this creation
Hello fellow MOCer/viewer(s)! I'm hoping you read the introduction just above hear. This is my entry for Round-2 of the UNE 3rd Fleet vs. COP 3rd Fleet MOC OFF against Gus Indo. Well, the chances of beating him are slim to nothing but, hey, at least I gave it my best with the little I have, right? Any ways, heres a little...
Backstory!
The "TAF-100" means Tactical Assault Fighter. Although, it didn't start out that way. Originally, it was a Sports Air Car manufactured by Accelatron Motors, an Earth born company. The model did so well in efficiency, maneuvering, speed, and quality that the U.N.E. bought a large amount of the crafts and retrofitted them with better engines, tougher armor, light weaponry, a new cockpit design, and the casual red stripe.
Round-2 Requirements:
-Build an atmospheric craft according to the U.N.E./C.O.P. theme.
Features(In greater detail):
- Two light, repeating GUASS Tech rifles
- Two Multi Function Engines (MFEs) including the following function modes: Flight, Afterburner, and Hover/Landing
- Two smaller engines within the wings for better maneuverability
- Includes a tow cable at the back to haul broken-down TAF units with a drop-ship or something to save as much as possible; These things aren't cheap, ya know!
- Whatever else you can think of...

[Above] Unedited version of the main photo.

[Above] A view of the wing/engine.

[Above] The starboard view.

[Above] The back. Center: Fuel exhaust, Inner Left/Right: Main engines, Outer Left/Right: Smaller engines.

[Above] Close-up front.

[Above] Starboard

[Above+Below] Top and bottom of the craft.

[Above+Below] Look! The light weaponry! Plus a slight break-down of pieces.

[Above] I'm just drooling over my own handy-work of S.N.O.T.!

[Above] Hover/Landing mode!

[Above] The tow cable I mentioned.

[Above] This is honestly all the red I could fit in there... It'll suffice, right?

[Above] The cockpit. Not much, really.

[Above] Just to prove that a minifig can fit.
[Below] I saved the best picture for last!

Attention!-This entry has sadly lost. :( Oh, well. I'll get 'em next time.

So... The real question is, is it any good for omlettes?
Yes, I'm sure the C.O.P. would love making omlettes out of them! |

I noticed this was in the GEM group but it's a UNE creation, so I took the liberty of removing it. |

Well, I'm a bit surprised to say this, but I've actually gone with Gus for the competition. It was certainly a close call, but he also had a very clean MOC, with a very unique design. And in the end, I felt like he just edged you out on the complexity of the build. |
