Mega Studs!... i have built the same thing quite a while ago... xD.. though i believe that if you made it a bit bigger, you would be able to capture the structure of the Stud with more details... xD.. other than that, you should try building a Mega Brick!.. and make a Mega Mega Stud!... haha!

Haha!!..
