I like the purple but not the mix of curves and angles, for some reason the combination has always bugged me... |

Xenophobic. That's why. Oh, and nice MOC. Almost forgot to mention that... |

If you want an answer to your rhetorical question--its because the audience (humans) finds it easier to identify noble, admirable traits in what is familiar and knowable, and finds it easier to find terrible, fearful and villainous things in what is unfamiliar or unknown. In other words, the audience identifies better with a humanoid than a squid thing because it is more familiar. Because of that, most of the time the non-human will never be the protagonist or the focus of the story. |

Lol, you might be able to even call it a micronette! Very interesting idea...I've never seen a scene of this scale before either.
Thank you! |

lol, I posted in a convo just on this theme, some time ago... I mean, in LEGO themes, it's always the humans invading the "monster"'s territory and wasting them, but monsters are always the bad guys anyway... |

Where did you get those purple pieces? Bricklinks perhaps? I have a couple ones myself. They came in a McDonalds set. When McD was giving out LEGO in happy meals. That was back in 99. This is creative! |

Pretty cool! You don't see purple used that much. I would've added a lampost or something in the corner to make this a little more exciting. |

In a way they are kind of right, how many people make alien sigs? In the SW theme, I have yet to see one, in other Scifi I oly know of AOS with his fleet lord Aemowes (species:thyrendi). |
|
|
Because they think itīll be easier for kids to relate to unamed space police agent with a confident smirk, then Squidman, you could call it xenophobia. |

Well if you notice most of LEGOīs themes itīs usually human v.s a nonhuman enemy, (rock monster, martian, random criminal alien, trolls, skeletons) so thatīs why. |
