BA review
About this creation

Hi. I have something a little different for you today. I will be giving you a review on my Brickarms collection as of 24/01/10.

For those of you who don't know Brickarms is a company run by an American named Will Chapman and his family. He uses injection molding to create fine weapons to scale with LEGO minifigures.

To date I have made two orders from Brickarms,or their UK reseller, and have been astounded by the quality and detail Will has produced.

(The order of the weps in this review is the order i pulled them out of a bag at random, thus there is no way to tell what is next)

Now. Onto the review.

The M21 Sniper Rifle:

BA.Com description: First put into service in the early 1970s, the M21 sniper rifle continues to see action on the front lines of battle today. Powerful, accurate, and reliable, the M21 is a durable weapon that can easily stand up to the rigors of war and still operate perfectly, and it remains a favorite of US troops.

In honor of this weapon's tradition of service, BrickArms is proud to offer the BrickArms M21 Sniper Rifle, the perfect accessory for all your minifigs looking do some sniping. Reach out and touch your minifigs' enemies today with the BrickArms M21 Sniper Rifle!

My Opinion: This weapon is, obviously, a sniper rifle. It is just taller than a minifig. The gun does not feature a grip/handle but using one brickarms monopod you can change that. I personally like this weapon very much and have never found the lack of a hanle a hinderence. 9/10

The Lewis Gun:

BA.com description: The Lewis Gun is an iconic weapon of Britain that saw extensive service in both World War I and II (not to mention galaxies far, far away).

Instantly recognizable thanks to its long tubular cooling shroud and top mounted pan magazine, BrickArms pays homage to the classic machine gun with the BrickArms Lewis Gun which features a rotating pan magazine, and a molded clip which snaps firmly into the LEGO(tm)lever base to allow easy mounting onto any MOC.

When arming your troops, vehicle, or aircraft, your best choice is the BrickArms Lewis Gun!

My Opinion: Okay, to start with the removable pan mag is pure WIN. Most of the features were already said up there and they are all brilliant. 7.5/10

Bazooka:

BA.com description: Legendary for the explosive force it puts in the hands of a single solider, the name "bazooka" is synonymous with imposing firepower.

Now you can equip your figs with this iconic piece of weaponry by giving them the BrickArms Bazooka. Based on classic bazooka designs, the BrickArms Bazooka leaves your figs ready to destroy or disable even the most heavily armored tanks and vehicles.

My opinion:the Baz has little detail but if you look at it it really doesn't need it. Of it's few details it features a stock that fits perfectly into a fig's shoulder. 6.5/10

SMLE Rifle:

BA.com description: As the sun slowly set on the British Empire, Britain and her Commonwealth allies armed themselves with one of the most powerful and effective bolt-action rifles ever developed: the Lee-Enfield. Durable, accurate, and versatile, the Lee-Enfield saw official use for over sixty years, serving with distinction in the Boer War, WWI, WWII, and beyond.

BrickArms is proud to present the BrickArms Lee-Enfield Rifle, an accessory based on the iconic SMLE MkIII version of this classic weapon. When your minifigs are going over the top of their trenches, demand nothing less than the BrickArms Lee-Enfield!

My opinion: BA's only bolt-action. Being English i salute BA for making one of our weps. I have actually killed a wabbit with one of these babies(not the lego one and not a lego rabbit). This gun does have the same no-handle thing as the M21 and the Garand. 8.5/10

AK-47 Assault Rifle:

BA.com description: Compared with the auto-loading rifles used in World War II, the AK was generally more compact, with a shorter range, a smaller 7.62x39 mm cartridge, and was capable of selective fire.

It was one of the first true assault rifles and remains the most widely used and known. More AK rifles and variants have been produced than any other assault rifle; production continues to this day.

My opinion: Ok. This is one awsome BA. Widely known as "That terrorist gun" it is much more. It was the one of the first assault rifles(German STG-44 was first,BA are prototyping) and many guns have come from it. Ak-47, M4A1 was a counter to it. The AK-74 was a counter to that and the M16 to the 74. I am lucky enough to have got a silver one as a freebie. 9.9/10

Dadao:

BA.com description: With unparalleled power behind its slash and chop, the BrickArms Dadao is deadly even in the hands of a novice. Able to cut through armor and bone with a single stroke, this imposing weapon was inspired by the legendary Chinese dadao broadsword, a design that saw use on the front lines of warfare all the way to World War II and was reputed to remove the heads of enemies with ease.

Perfect for everything from Pirate to Castle figs, the BrickArms Dadao is an excellent choice for any minifig who wants an truly imposing blade by their side!

My opinion: I was never that keen on the BA blades except when i got a Trans-neon green one as a freebie i was pretty impressed. You can fit two minifig hands on the hadle aswell. 8/10

M1 Garand:

BA.com description: From the shores of Normandy to the jungles of the Pacific and across the 38th Parallel, the M1 Garand was the rifle US armed forces relied on to win the day.

Referred to by Gen. George S. Patton as “the greatest implement of battle ever devised," BrickArms is proud to present this new minifig accessory in honor of the service rifle that saw America through both WWII and Korea.

My Opinion: The American rifle. The age old BA conflict SMLE vs M1 I personally prefer the SMLE. Nonetheless this is an incredibly detailed weapon. I am the proud owner of a trans-blue version of this rifle. 7.9/10

The Auto-9:

BA.com description: A joint venture from BrickArms and Omni Consumer Products, the Auto-9 is truly the future of law enforcement sidearms. Staggeringly powerful, the Auto-9 is the perfect selection to bring in the criminals, dead or alive.

The Auto-9 is an excellent choice for a minifig looking to pack the most powerful sidearm around!

My Opinion: One of my favourite BA's of all time! This pistol looks just completley awsome. It is like a futuristic Magnum revolver. 10/10

That concludes part 1. Stay here next time for the RPG, MP40, Mini Uzi, M4A1 Carbine, Baseball bat, Thompson, Xeno Pulse Rifle and Tactical M47 Shotgun.

Please R&C.
