With this one, as well as the AK, the shoulder strock is very difficult to model for minifigs - their fixed arm-to-elbow geometry makes producing realistically holdable weapons a real challenge.
With this one, I opted for a fullt collapsed shoulder stock and the short barrel of the carbine fully evident. I also added a side-mounted charge handle - like the AR18 - instead of the t-handle charge handle like the real M4 has. It proved too difficult to model properly in CAD.
I designed it in a CAD program, and had an ABS plastic injection mold made. The mold can produce these in ABS plastic - just like Lego does.
Cool gun a have a few of those. I wonder if that david guy realizes who you are. I have a few U.S. Marine minifigs (which I'll be posting next year) so the M4 doesn't really work for them(if you know what I mean) and I was wondering if you had any future plans for an M16A4 or M16A2. I love your brickarms and think it was a smart company choice.
HEY WILL! I didn't know you had a MOCPAGES site! Oh, and I finished your Brickarms movie. I just got a MXL 990 Mic and still need to do the voices. I'f you'd like to see some of my creations, you can click on the link above. And this is a awesome M4. It's one of my favorites. I own about 25 of them and use them all the time! Luke
You work is great and you have brought much joy to people. If I may say, I beleive that you should make some sort of MG 34 or something. I'm not telling you to, but as a person seurly considering to buy some of your weapons, that would be a huge seller. Of course a rifle, like the 98K would sell like crazy.
I visited your site the other day. I cannot wait to order like three complete sets of guns. My Punisher van is in dire need for some cool weapons. The custom 203 under the M4 is a nice touch. Great work. If I could make a suggestion for the next weapon, a double barrel shotgun. And for a customization of that, cut off the stock in back and cut down the barrel for a sawed off shotgun. My Ash and Mad Max minifigs would thank you.
The M16 has a T charging handle as well, in all versions. Maybe you are thinking of the AR18? Anyway, the foregrip looks a bit more CAR-15 or M16A1-like than M4A1, but there is only so much you can do.
