This is the "Cherry Pug" Monster Truck. It is not based on any real monster truck but from my own mind. It has many working features all shown below including a V4 piston engine, front independant suspension, rear suspension, steering.
This selection of photos show 2 versions of my truck. I wasn't happy with certain parts of the original so I modified the truck (the front end, mirrors and tailgate) and here are the 2 versions.
About this creation
The truck's steering is controlled by the upright shaft located behind the roll cage.
Lovely big V4 engine. It is powered by the drive chain which is connected to the drive shaft.
If this was a real truck it would have to be a V8 engine at the very least. If I tried to fit a lego V8 the bonnet would be twice as big which would look even more sillier than it does now.
The cab roof and windscreen is designed to be removed to allow access to the interior of the cab.
Here's the Lego Dude climbing into the cab.
This is the tailgate opened.
This shows the prop shaft. It is driven by the right hand side rear wheel. I was hoping to use my differential gear but I just cannot find it any where. It doesn't matter really, it still works very well and the vehicle steers well as the rear axle is split.
