I think I finally got it down with this one.
About this creation
So, I posted this crab boat a long time ago back when I first joined MOCpages in August, 08. At that time, that particular creation was almost a year old, and was lacking in several areas. I never really liked the look of the superstructure with that one, and it didn't have much storage space for crab pots. It was destroyed and the hull put in the back of the collection for awhile. Then the new season of deadliest catch inspired me, and I finally got around to redoing it. The result is this.
The main change is I moved the superstructure to the front. This took care of almost all my major concerns. It made that superstructure look better, it used up excess space on the front, and it allowed for more crab pot storage behind.
Another overview of the boat.
Here is that superstructure, also called the cabin.
Roof details.
The rear of the boat.
the work area of the deck. Includes: pot launcher, pot winch, crab sorting table, bait cooler, and float bucket.
Another view of the work area. This other side has the pot winch and launcher, plus the bait cooler.
The rear part of the deck. This is where all the pots are stored, and where the pot crane is.
fun fact: at full capacity, this boat can hold 80-100 pots. I've counted. There are twenty pots per level, and it can stack 4 or 5 levels high. I don't have nearly that many brown crates though.
Minifigs on the deck.
The interior of the cabin.

Much better than your first, lot more detail.
Watch how high you stack your pot, with ice build up, I don't want to hear EPIRB going off. |

Nice job on all your MOCs. If you're still looking to put together a team for the MOC Athalon, I'd be happy to be on your team. Sorry it took me so long to respond. Let me know what I need to do. Thanks. |

Great step moving the cabin to the front! 100 crates is a lot, especially for a boat like that. It looks better now, I'm looking forward for new boats from you! |
