USRG Assault Rover
This is MOC number 3. I call it the Assault Rover. If you have any ideas for a better name, please comment. Anyhoo, back to the MOC. The Assault Rover was developed by the USRG for use as a multi-terrain troop transport. In order to minimize weak points, the USRG’s scientists reduced the size of the windshield and windows. To compensate, the rover is equipped with better than average sensors, varying from infrared to electronic. So even though visibility is nil, the Rover is not helpless. Anything smaller than a scout bike, it crushes. Anything larger, it blows up. This eight-wheeled vehicle has working suspension, as my photos below demonstrate. Stealth-coated, the Rover carries a crew of two: a pilot and a navigator/sensor operator. It is armed with an anti-vehicle gun that is capable of blowing aircraft out of the sky. In these capacities it is very useful as an attack tank. However, its main function is to carry troops. The Assault Rover is able to hold up to eight infantry besides its two crew members.
About this creation

Again, tiny windshield, heavy armor, major ouch-time.

Although the truck has an open bed, the walls are high enough to protect the troops from most infantry weapons, except grenades.

Here is a view of the loading ramp. It’s a long step up, but USRG soldiers are tough, so they’ll get over it.

This is the cockpit. The pilot sits in front of the co-pilot. If the gun operator is killed, the co-pilot can control it remotely.

Here is a detail shot of the gun. It swivels both vertically and horizontally.

The suspension adds a little too much height for my tastes, and I have a better suspension designed at home, but the pieces aren’t on LDD, so oh well.

Another suspension view.

Quoting Brick Freak Do you have any plans to come to the NEO war group? Cause this, as well as your other creations, would make a great addition to the group. If you're interested, there's a link to it on your lifter mech page.
Yeah, I'm waiting to get approved. And thank you.

Quoting High Commander Falcon Sweet! A great partner to the APT Armored Personnel Transport. Also I like the open bed idea, except its susceptible to air vehicles, hence the need for support vehicles. The only thing that bothers me is the USRG doesnt name its vehicles unless its a large ship like a frigate. So it would just be an Assault Rover or Combat Troop Rover
Right, got it. No names. So, anyone else that has a name suggestion can forget it! Just kidding. :) And I did think about the air vehicles, and the support vehicles, and it is a legitimate point.
