La Villa Ecouter
French for "The Villa Sunny". In my last Moc, I mentioned my Mona Lisa. This is it. Also, can you find the paparazzi?
About this creation

The front lawn. Mini-figs from all over come to Ecouter as a sort of sunny Betty Ford Center. Or just a vacation resort. Depends who you are.

Frank, who had just transfered here, encounters a sight that's gonna make his psychiatrist rich.

Slushie guy. Couldn't really afford to stay, just kind of hangs out in the bushes.

The Covenant's finally got smart and gone green. This candy-cane Elite is actually a left-over from an abandoned Christmas project who I thought deserved a showing.

Mister Bones is wondering why he didn't leap at the chance to go to Orlando. Ecouter advertised, "Where you can rest your weary bones!", and Mister Bones booked immediately. Silly Bones.

The lovely tree and window sill flower bed.

A SNOT tree and the other window sill.

The angry chef is chasing the dinner across the roof.

Rory took sprint training and now it looks like Baxter will be fodder. When Baxter told Rory he'd never outrun a human, Rory replied,"I don't have to. I just have to outrun you."

Carlos the Cardinal and Bobbie the Blue Jay. Bobbie's new, he was just a time waster for me, but hey, he looks neat.

Now, let's head inside, shall we?

A basic overview of the inside.

Kobe's shooting the breeze with the waiter. The waiter's wondering who the heck Kobe's fashion designer is.

SigRusty is explaining Einstein's theory of relativity to Craig the monkey. What did I tell you about casting pearls before swine?

A distressed Vanna is seated next to an aspiring Rick the rock. He's just wondering why he's seen only one celebrity and five sociopaths.

An evicted SigMaxim inquires as to where the "facilities" are located. Greg pointed at the window and said, "Eeey-Aeeeh!" SigMaxim,"Shoud've known..."

A guilty cookie eater.

When people holding mini-guns ask you why you're on their bed eating cookies, they usually don't wait for an answer. These two fellas are from a comic I'm trying to design called "Testers."

Details:

The dresser/display case.

The various table decorations.

The sign. I really like the arch technique I figured out, but I bet someones already done it before. Oh well.

The gray arch detail. Kind of an afterthought while building the Moc, but it ended up breaking up the wall quite nicely.

The second story window. That to the right is a lamp, and the black thing is a railing. Duh.

The first level window. Here you can see where I first discovered the arch stud technique.

Fourth Wall: This is what I made out of my Christmas goodies. One Creator set, an online PaB order, one Bricklink order, and GIMP software later, this came into being. The Bricklink order was mostly for my upcoming SW project, but it finished off this too. The Villa took forever, but I'm really happy with it. In case you didn't notice, I made it a kind of resort for my characters.

I think I'm naming our team the Piddlin' Puppies instead of Piddlin' Canines. I'm about to post the moc presenting our team. >:D

Thank you for all the kind comments!
Quoting Elijah Bowers That is so awesome, how long did it take? I would love to add it to my city...
It took three days to make the exterior. Another day to finish the front lawn. Many, many days figuring out what to do with the inside. A day or two tiling the inside. Two weeks waiting for a Bricklink order. Maybe a day for the furniture. So, all in all, about a month.

Nice, Rusty! I see you bought a Power Miners set. What did you say you needed my sigfig for? I remember you asking.

You know I always thought Maxim would end up like that... You got a couple of laughs out of me with this MOC. I really like the interior, but the exterior might need a couple of things fixed, like making the sidewalk lower than the grass (understandable if you are using a baseplate)

Quoting Shannon Young Great work. A detailed interior and exterior is something I have yet to master -- I can do one or the other, can never seem to do both at the same time. A note on the chickens, if you put a jumper tile under their heads, their chests won't stick out further than their beaks. Looks funny to me, but maybe you prefer them this way. I like the jay and cardinal, too.
Thank you, I actually didn't like my inside furniture that much but I'm glad you approve. Also, thanks for the tip about the chickens.

Quoting Droidbait King I found the paparazzi!
Good!
Quoting Doctor Sushi The only minorites would be: The flower beds need some sorta box, and the grass shouldn't be deeper than the pavement.
Thanks for the tips, I'll try to keep that in mind for the future.
Quoting Doctor Sushi 'Course, the only thing that doesn't make sense is why I'm in a Speedo...
I thought it made perfect sense. Eviction can come when you least expect it. @Daniel: Thanks man!

No wonder those bushes out the window are dead... Ahem! Wow! I love everything, very well done! The only minorites would be: The flower beds need some sorta box, and the pavement shouldn't be deeper than the grass. Otherwise, everything is awesome! I love the dresser, the glass is awesome. The floor design on the ground floor is sweet too. 'Course, the only thing that doesn't make sense is why I'm in a speedo... ~Maxim
