Island Tower
Castle Tower on an Island
About this creation
This was my first experiment with sideways bricks for water. I really like how it looks. The whole thing is modular for easy access. The base (including the island) splits in half and the tower splits into 6 main sections.

See the brickshelf folder for more pictures. Interior pictures are yet to come.

   Island and tower.

Just the tower. New and old grays were intentionally mixed, and I like how it looks. It makes flat walls more interesting.

   The front door.

Close-up of the shoreline. The water is made of sideways blue bricks. I'll never go back to studded water again.

The other half of the island.

   Sandy paths.

Steps have been carved out of the rock for easy access to the plateau.

A closer view of the steps.

A peek at the back side.

The rare blue flower is hard to reach.

   Back gate to the sub-basement.

Another view of the whole thing before the modules are separated.

   The roof is gone.

   Another level removed.

Not much of a tower any more.

   The inside is visible now.

The central great hall and not much else.

   Just foundations.

   The island slides apart.

   Half of the island.

   A cut-away interior shot.

The whole tower on half of the island. Getting to the front door is a little tricky.

The island tower is shown here in its natural habitat.

This is great! What's up with the low rating?

You should really think about using that kind of concept for the Episode II Naboo scene in Star Wars.

Awesome landscaping. The tan looks great; the use of the tan rounded plates looks great for a sandy shore. The modularity is a great feature, which must make it much easier to transport too! As Keith said, the SNOT water is far superior! I definitely look forward to more models from you.
