River Castle
Keep and inner bailey one side of the river, connected by a bridge to the outer bailey where the local market takes place.
About this creation
The latest evolution of my modular walled castle town.

The River Castle comprises a raised keep and inner bailey seperated from the outer bailey by the river; A bridge connects the two.

The inner bailey is intentionally bare, with just a few defenders practising their skills (as it would have been used in time of attack to house the local populace - both people and livestock).

The outer bailey contains the Moot hall, wharf, warehouses and customs house. This is the main centre of activity - especially on market days.

Outside the walls a shepherd watches his sheep, while a fisherman cleans his nets and prepares his catch.

This is Amazing. Only 16 I like it's? What's up with that this is one of the best castles I've ever seen. It's like 70 of the average Ciamoslaw Ciamek courtyards in one! You have a lot of Lego.Check out my creations (although they're not as good as yours) Pce out

Fantastic detailing is evident everywhere from the market place to the castle walls to the shepard and his flock. This is probably the best castle I've seen on Moc pages so far. Amazing.

That castle is Awesome! I bet it took a lot of lego sets, collecting and lots of time to build it all. Good job again.

This is looking great! There are lots of nice little details in it. My main nit is that the castle yard seems a bit empty, but other than that: great job! Edit: D'oh! Thanks for the pointer James ;-)

That really looks a fantastic display William. I wish I had got to see it before it went to the big sorting bag in the sky. If I were a minifig I'd think twice before attacking that fortress. Oh and Linus.. if you read the description it explains away your only gripe :) 'The inner bailey is intentionally bare, with just a few defenders practising their skills'

A colosial achievment. Very detailed and, i wonder what it would look like if it was under attack from another neighboring nation?
