No, the one in the dictionary was my first Hoth, about 60,000 pieces, it got destroyed on a return trip from a showing at Legoland. This one is around 100,000 pieces and fixed many of the things I didn't like about my first one.

Yes, you are correct. I drilled a hole on the flat side that I put the light through
Quoting YSDWDY K. Thanks for the reply. Specifically, can you tell me what type of slope brick (facing inward) was used (i.e., bricklink part name)? It is transparent but the sides are emitting no light. I haven't got a clue looking at the pictures. The back half seems to be Slope 33 3 x 2 with Louver Pattern.

Well, some of the R2's have a round hole (not a cross hole) on the bottom that a technic 1/2 pin can insert into, then you use a white 2/3 cheese slope, hope you understand what I wrote and good luck.

Well I never planned on making a second, but about 3/4 of the way into my first I had some ideas that I could not incorporate into the build (mainly putting my custom UCS Falcon into the interior), so I just finished it the best I could. I decided to take it to the Star Wars Weekend @ Legoland in 2009. It did not survive the trip back, totally destroyed. I wasn't going to rebuild, but a couple of friends and my son urged me, and I had a lot of white pieces, what else was I going to make. So I scaled it out for the Falcon and used my images of the movie set and it just grew from abot 40,000 pieces to 100,000 pieces. Enough rambling on, but thanks for taking the time to check it out. Here is a video of it if you want to see more of it. http://www.youtube.com/user/brickplumber#p/u/7/oU9mj-opIT0

Quoting Commander Le (was Lieutenant Le) Hey, is your real name Mark Borlase? Because it says here on "Lego Star Wars:The Visual Dictionary" - Echo Base interior and exterior(with the same pics) Mark Borlase's recreation of Echo Base took four years to build. It has motorized hangar doors, a Millenium Falcon, and superbly detailed AT-AT's. Snowtroopers lower themselves from AT-AT's and advance toward the Rebel lines, complete with laser turrets and tauntauns.

One word. Amazing. But ONE SUGGESTION! I think you should put more in the Taun-Taun holding room, because from the pic i see of it, it just looks plain and simple, even though the other rooms have details on the walls, cables, cabinets, etc. My rate- 5/5.

There are only two snow troopers and it's supposed to be funny. One playing a rebel in a game of ping-pong and the other helping a medical droid in sickbay.
Quoting Nitrosity The CyborgNinja wow. several things: 1) it's massive! that's a lot of white bricks, and i'm guessing you bought a lot of those hoth battle packs. 2) really good design for the trenches and base, and hte snow drifts outside are good too. 3) whats with all the snow troopers inside the base? really great moc

This just keeps getting more incredible every time I look at it! Are those stock snowspeeders? If they are, I'd certainly let you use my design to customize them, if you liked it that is.
