Well, I kind of jumped the gun and just went straight ahead to build the big one of the series. (134 studs long)
About this creation
Venom's 'Hand of God'

Tagged No.1, The 'Hand of GOD' is the Royal Admiral's personal Battleship, and he answers only to the Emperor himself. It operates in the heart of G.A.I.A's largest fleet, 'The Emperor's Sword'. Admiral Wellington, who just turned 40, is a text-book strategist and commander who never makes mistakes. Some say there are better tacticians out there, but High Command prefers a reliable commander at the helm of its signature fleet.

'We are at war my Dear Irena, we cannot risk the loss of military assets during tactical practice runs!'

'Well when this mission goes live Sir, the Draggone will be shooting at us...'

'At which time you can fly as fast as you like, but not during the dummy runs!'

Irena turned on her heel and stormed out of the room red faced (or should we say yellow faced...lol...) and furious. What would an admiral know about the realities of war?

Lord Wesley Wellington shook his head sympathetically. He liked Irena, but she was young and hot headed. One only had to study history to realise that any great empire which ever lost a Great War, usually did so for a lack of military assets and personnel towards the end of its campaign.

And so preservation of life and equipment from day one, was vital so that when the time came for the war to be won, humanity would have the upper hand. High command was behind him, he only prayed that God was to.

Here we see the G.A.I.A Naval Trinity of a Samhain-, Beltane- and Hell-, Fire, on hangar deck A. Though the Hell-Fire Experimental mk1 only appeared in the last months of the war, its FTL drives certainly helped end it.

Here we see launch deck A1 in action.

Long live GAIA!!!

Quoting El Barto ! Nice updates! The appear much sharper. Did you increase the resolution? Maybe you should touch up some of the shower scenes for some sharper detail, too ;)
Hahaha, yes indeed, actually I found a cool scene I never released, I'll post you know where ;) I finally figured out how to best change the weird shiny black background I had used for alot of my earlier pics and can now bring out the Moc alot more clearly while still darkening the background. It's been really bugging me for ages cos tracing around these big builds with an eraser was never a real option. I now combine several techniques to get the job done and it is with great relief! Thanks man :)

Close, she's a Kiwi, and NZ is theoretically still part of Australia, but don't tell them that! hehehe... Yeh, she is amazing, like most Cylons, but I covered blondes with Starbuck, Boomer and Naomi just round out my perfect dream nicely... Cheers mate!

Quoting Mike Johnson All right now I know I've seen this one before and that I left a comment but no matter. This one is wonerfully epic in scale and total Star Blazers in coolness. As far as life in general is concerned, I've had a bit of a slump when it comes to building but I just entered Yuri's new Spinning top contest for some new inspiration. Why don't you get in on this too for the fun of it? I think it will be a good diversion for us both.

Big and goodlooking !! Too make good pictures of this size you need a big space ofcourse, and a big background. I use paper sheets, or sometimes a bedspread, but you need to remove the line with photoshop or something like that. You can also buy a BIG sheet of cardboard, you can use it lots of times so.....good luck ;-) btw try not to use a flash, and if you do keep a bigger distance, otherwise the front is very light and the back is too dark.

Quoting Aidan Bryant Great looking ship, has a very WW2 vibe about it. If you can't see that simply imagine the blue as grey and dark red on the bottom.
Absolutely spot on Aiden. I just love the notion of Dreadnaughts in space, and I only wish to have lived in teh future so as to see such magnificent sights. Chances are though, our spaceship will be rotating boredom machines full of robots carrying chemistry sets to make people when a planet is finally found, but that is way too much hypothesising. Cheers for the vote mate...

Quoting Austin Bailey I like the Battleship Yamato style of starships just as much as the next guy...but not as much as you! Well done, I think. The colors are bold, and I wouldn't have picked them, but I really love the work you put into crossover, with internal vignettes in minifig scale. It really brings the microscale vessel to life.
hehehe, cheers Austin. Yeh, I grew up watching Starship Blazers with the Argo and its wave motion gun, and I guess I never got over it! Thanx for the comment, it took me back...

This is excellent! The sets fit beautifully with the nano ship, and I also like the color theme (does it come in black and neon? lol). The only bit of advice I have: try a better distribution of the "flavor text" (old MTG player here...) instead of writing it in big chunks. It will be lighter to read and give a "rythm" to your page, wich you can use to create suspense or pull some good jokes. And you're welcome. It's been, all along, a pleasure.

Quoting Eric and Lawson B Parrington, this is a great capital ship. Do you keep these monsters around, or do they get recycled? This is one of your best. Regards, Eric.
Hehe, G'day Eric. I can see I have you staggered this time. Have no fears, I simply dedicated the three days you saw those ships being posted over to building. Needless to say, I should get a job! But I just got inspired and had to do a trilogy of them. As I had all the pieces out, it was very easy to literally be building one even as I ripped the other apart, and yes, even recycle some section. I'm sure you spotted the bridge of the 'Daphni', running length ways this time along the main body of 'The hand of God'. I nany case, I am alittle burned out now, and may need a week! Take care mate, and as always, thanks for the chat. Cheers...

Cheers dude, I was toying with the mix of scales for ages and then Yuri pretty much inspired me to stop thinking and start doing! It just makes it so much more fun to build a mini when you know you get to do some fun interior sets as well. Cheers...

Ships, ships, ships,... You´re spitting them out like an active volcano spits out lava and ashes! And one by one they´re getting better! Now, let me describe this beauty with a fittng expression, I´ve stolen from Unreal Tournament: GODLIKE! This is such a massive beast, but still with very elegant lines. The colur scheme is a dream and the large amount of weapons is breathtaking. Thanks for introducing me to Star Girl, we´ve had a nice time in a Samhain double seater! ;-P

The ultimate wedding of your naval and ship styles ! Well played, mate, this is a masterpiece. The shape is fantastic, and the very controlled color-scheme is unusual, but works really well. I know it's hard to take pics of big ships but the shots are nice ! My "solution" to improve them a little : maybe use "The Gimp" to adjust constrast, luminosity, so it'll looks even better, or try a photoshopped background for the main pic. But as it is now, it's fine, no problem. Hope you'll make a lot of other cool ships like this one ! Great work !!!

Do you ever sleep? ;p Red and blue, very striking and works well. How you build such quality ships so fast is beyond me. You should photoshop the entire fleet into 1 pic some time, I'm thinking it would be quite a sight!
  February 3, 2010
Take a good pic front to aft, from a low angle, so that the further part goes out of focus, to show how long it is. I'll be back to rate it when the interiors are up. Let me know :)

That. Is. A. Lot. Of. Ship. I'm looking at the 3/4 view (2nd pic in the stack) as I type this and I definitely like the lines of the ship. I'm also pleased to report that the Rimworlders are suitably impressed. "With ships like this, the Dragone have much to fear." those are the liaison's words. I'm expecting images of a fighter carrier to arrive in a few days; I'll forward them along when I get them.
