This is just to complete the series of Bounty Hunter ships. It is nothing special, but it shows the evolution from the "Piranha" to the "Hammerhead".
About this creation
I love that view, that´s why I´ve put it here!
When the fire is thick and flack and fallout rip the competition apart, the "Barracuda" still fights. Because of its strength and survivability in open combat as well as its stealthy, maneuverable handling, this ship distinguishes itself as the best friend for the modern Bounty Hunter. This coupled with the tricked out power array makes it an easy choice.

The best ship in single player prior to getting the Anubis. It is fairly manoeuvrable, has firepower almost matching the Dragon, and its subgroups are spread out further than the Dragon (allowing it to occasionally survive a powerful missile). It is arguably on par with the Anubis due to its higher manoeuvrability, but lacks the superior power plant necessary to fire the best equippable weapons for very long.
The Bounty Hunter's AP-7031 Barracuda Heavy Fighter is the fighter of choice of various Bounty Hunters that serves in the remote Independent and Border Worlds, even in Kusari, despite being only allowed to operate in the Shikoku system. It is a large, but highly agile and stealthy fighter. Thanks to the fair amount of firepower and the much higher agility than the Dragon HF used by the Kusari Naval Forces, this fighter could possibly be the best in the single player campaign until the player gains access to the Anubis.
I was lacking one of those white 2 x 1 x 3 Slopes, so I replaced two of them with red ones. I dunno, but somehow they look cool. See them as group markings, this is red leader!
The rest is not very spectacular, let the pics speak for themselfs.

This fighter is really cool. I love the canopy: it seems the pilot has a very nice view of the battle field. It would have been nice to have a closeup shot of the pilot controls. And the red group markings look really great.
Hi, thanks for the comment! If you want to take a closer look at the controls, check out my "Hammerhead". It has got the same controls as the "Barracuda"! http://mocpages.com/moc.php/157094

What a complex piece of work! I love the black switch back on the white tail fin, marrying the slopes to the other colored reverse slopes is always a striking combo. And the lower wings, you might think i'm insane, but they looked edible, like Cassata Gelato Icecream!
This range of fighter you have put up sure have a distinct and menacing signature about them. Great stuff as usual dude...Cheers...
Thanks, mate! Honestly, I´m very pleased with how this range of fighters turned out and how the shape of a fish formed the main body of these fighters. If you like, I´d serve you the lower wings on silver plate and watch you eat them! Haha ;-D Enjoy your meal! |

Cool, jetzt hast du endlich die kopfgeldjaegerserie fertig. Was kommt als naechstes...? Bretonia? *seufz* |

Great ship, it took me a couple minutes to notice all the differences, at first I thought you only added those wings(?) to the sides, but I see that there is more to it than that.
Yea, it has the two wings (Or mandibles? Whatever!), two more guns, one more engine and a larger cargo hold. It´s good to see you were curious enough to look for the differences. Thanks for the nice comment! |
