A Super GT race car based off of a Subaru Impreza.
About this creation
After playing enough Gran Turismo PSP, I seem to have developed a new interest and appreciation for the Japan Grand Touring Championship, or as it's now known, Super GT. This of course rubs off into my MOCs, so here's the first (of probably many) Japanese touring cars :) It is roughly based off of the the CUSCO Subaru Impreza that runs in the JGTC. Please review, and thanks for looking!

Side view. Notice the yellow grille on the side of the car: it's my way of representing the thinning of the car body from the hood to the middle, which leaves that large gap behind the front wheels.

Rear view.

Front detail. Like on most Super GT cars, I added a huge front grille.

Rear detail. Notice the undertray fins and those two little pipes that stick out the back. (Does anybody know what those are for? For refilling the car maybe, I don't know.)

Close up of the side, to show those little grilles...

Here's the interior, which features a fire extinguisher and pressure gauge. This shot also shows how the side grilles are connected.

Artsy angle.

Yes, i saw the group just recently, and very nice touch. I just wished i had more time, now with school and soccer, I don't have time for Legos, maybe this weekend i have more extra time than usual.
Yeah, same here. I feel reluctant to open up a new contest because I feel like I won't have enough time to manage it. Oh well. Who knows though, I might just go for it one of these days... |

One of your best. By the way, if your playing Gran Turismo Psp so much why not make a 4-wide ZR-1 or Citroen GT, (which is the car I'm making.) Spoiled the surprise of my next car haha. Anyways great car and looking forward to more
-JG Hi Juan, and thanks for the comment! It's nice to hear that you've been building again :) And about that ZR1: I can picture one in my favorite shade of blue... I'd love to build it! Also, check out WCT: I gave it a fresh icon. -Dax |

I am sorry --- I hadn't noticed the link before. (oops) SO after looking at the real thing... Not bad. Certain details are present, such as the antenna in the center of the roof. I guess I am a stickler to realism...I would probably give this car a better mark if the roof was a lot lower and stuff. I just notice that lots of four-wides are very similar, even if the cars they are representing are different. Don't get me wrong...I have seen some remarkable 4-wides. However, the main thing about YOUR four-wides is that they fit a minifig--pretty rare. So the bottom line is that I judge by looking at perfection of overall shape and details as pertaining to the real car. If a car is recognizable then it is well-built. |

Perfect photography, but like I always say, a photo of the real car you are representing should have been included. I give you a four because it is a nice-looking car, but only a four-wide. And I don't have the game, so I don't know what it was supposed to look like. Oh well. -matthew- |

THis is a very interesting minifig scaled car. It is great the way you managed to add details to such a small scaled vehicle. Well done! |
